But it's the Cubs so here comes the 2 run homer or an inside the park homer to win.

I may never complain about the Jays bullpen again.

Hell of a way for that 10 game run in elimination games to end, the one they were probably most likely to win.

Hate to go full polak with the hyperbole, but that rally might win the World Series for the Cubs. No doubt they blow a game 5, but now it's a feeling of invincibility.

Too bad for Moore, good on the Cubs.
I hope the Cubs win it all now.

Seems like the Cubs are breaking their curse one step at a time.
87 years ago tomorrow, this happened;
Quote:
In the 1929 miracle comeback, the Cubs were leading, 8-0, after 7 1/2 innings. One out, two lost balls in the sun and 13 batters later, the Cubs found themselves trailing, 10-8. The next two hitters struck out, but the damage was done. Athletics ace Lefty Grove tossed two innings of perfect relief to clinch the improbable victory, and two days later, the A's beat the Cubs, 3-2, to win the championship.

That was a pretty epic collapse by San Fran. Brutal job by Bochy and by the bullpen. Happy to see it though. Cubbies can go to the World Series then lose to the Jays.
How about Chapman. Not a single pitch under 100mph. Giants didn't have s chance.

If the final 4 is Cleveland, Chicago, Toronto, and Washington (Montreal)....I suspect something catastrophic could prevent the World Series from happening...or Toronto wins.

It'll be the Cubs and Indians, going to game 7, with game 7 going 41 innings as each team continuously chokes.

Yeah, hard to believe that for the 2nd year in a row the Jays will be the team to have most recently won a World series out of the 4 teams remaining, despite it being 23 years since they won their last.
