How do you know his intention? It was apparently a high hit to the head that probably gave MacArthur another concussion.
This is training camp, these are your teammates, essentially. Ease up

Hope MacArthur is okay. Feel bad for Seiloff too - kid's had a few tough breaks in his career and this certainly won't help.

Be interesting to see video of the hit. Doesn't take much to concuss someone who's coming off another concussion, maybe it wasn't so bad. Still doesn't look good for Pat, too bad he couldn't have saved it for a pre-season game.

I agree with this, it also tells me something about Neil's leadership. After Ryan fought him, Neil should have pulled the kid aside and spoke to him, not target him afterwards. That seems awfully dysfunctional to me.

Kids ease up and they have no chance at making the team, it really is a no win situation. You also speak of high hits like they are all intentional, they aren't.

Bravo Sieloff. May have just ended your own teammates career in a training camp scrimmage.

I expect Melnyk to launch a forensic investigation against the Flames on the premise that the Flames planted Seiloff inside the Sens organization to tamper with the team.
He's probably black balled out of that place now.

But a vet top-6 forward coming off an injury... Sieloff has to know better.
That's also the most fired-up I've ever seen Bobby Ryan.

I don't think that hit was that bad.
But that is terrible leadership from the Senators.

Hopefully OTT sends him back this way for a 4th round pick

All he did is step up and take the body. If he doesn't make that hit he's in teh coaches doghouse the rest of camp.

That's a pretty meh hit, not from behind or malicious like I thought it would be. Sieloff with a poor read of the situation, but really, that shouldn't be the hit that knocks you out cold. I hope MacArthur is alright and retires. That seemed like a run of the mill regular season hit.

That's real bad for Sieloff. He's doing what he has to to get noticed but that is real bad. He may have just ended the career of a respected veteran. I could see them moving him to another team right away, that tension could linger for a long time.

Agreed. If Macarthur isn't recovered from his injury, then he should be on the ice in a non-contact jersey.

MacArthur wasn't going to make it through pre-season if that kind of hit knocks him out

If MacArthur is off-limits for hitting, put him in a no-contact jersey. As people said above, Sieloff has to play his game to make the NHL, and from what I could tell from that video, that didn't look dirty.
