What? That's not accurate.

Hanifin has great potential, but he's at least a tier and a half away from Hamilton regarding current play.

Any chance Chiarella is holding a bit of a grudge with Hamilton?

Good call. Looks like the source I found jumped around.
I don't mind having new logos for separate events. Makes them more unique IMO.

Is he? How many Canes games have you watched this year?
I've only seen a couple but Hanifin was a real standout

And the Hockey Canada logo is awful. I'm glad they didn't use it. Hopefully they ditch the black helmets/gloves/pants too.

Absolutely love the '72-inspired sleeves on the Canada jerseys.
But the crest is completely ruining it for me.

I would evaluate things differently for an Olympic team where I might actually care if Canada wins.

Thats pretty much bang on.
I know you and many others are hoping for a high-flying, high scoring affair, but Team Canada is pretty practical during these types of tournaments.

I guess we'll just have to take your word for it then?
Hanifin is one of the best young defensemen in the game IMO.

I don't know if there'd have been room for Hall on LW anyway. Especially if Bennett makes the team.

One could only hope. Oh well. I'm not going to get my shorts in a knot over it. I appreciate all kinds of top-level hockey equally.

They play it win. And this team with its air-tight defense will win again.

What is the point of this 2-phase team selection process? Who benefits most -- team managers? players? the NHL (hype)? Why?

Despite his mistake it's a legit question. Sweden arguably has a better pool of talent than the USA yet the USA gets handicapped by having to send its under 23 talent to a different team but Sweden doesn't...? Doesn't make sense to me. Russia too.
