Reality is, this team is simply not good enough.
The only big body that plays big is Strome.
Other than that, too much skill. Not enough grit.

They did just win last year you recall? Pretty sure you don't need an inquiry due to one shaky team.

3 bad defensive plays for goals. 1 soft goal. And 1 combo of bad screening and weak goal.
I'd blame defence not goaltending.

Marner would be better if he didn't rag the puck around the perimeter looking for a pretty pass all the time.

Goaltending is horrible.
Defense is worse.
Coaching questionable.

That last play where he pinched and tried to check the entering Finn is something he's going to have to learn not to do in the NHL, needs to play the puck and position himself to keep the player outside. Big players like that Finn will always walk through a check from a smaller player.

That has to be a major. At first I thought he was faking it.

Strome gone to the dressing room.
Refs rule it as a 2 min minor

He has skill but as evidence by this tourney, when he isnt surrounded by dominant team mates playing against competition far below their level he really isn't dominating. It will be ineteresting to see how he does at the AHL level where him and his linemates wont have as many points as the other teams whole forward group combined. Overall he has been a bit of a dissapointment at this tourney. We needed him to be one of the point leaders and dominating forwards in this tourney and he simply hasnt been.

That's not a major. If anything, Strome milked it.

Looks like Stromes wrist got smashed into the boards on that hit.
