It's funny talking with fans of other teams and them scoffing at comparisons of Gaudreau and the top echelon of players in the NHL.

It's fair, obviously we get to see Johnny so much as opposed to the fans of other teams just seeing him on occasion, but I can't wait for next year when people get to eat even more crow. I fully expect him to finish 4th in scoring.

I can't think of a single player I'd confidently trade Johnny for. Not one.

6 points in 10:25 of total ice time. 1 point for every 1:44 of OT ice time. 1 point every 2.83 shifts.

Give it a month. I wouldn't be surprised if he's second in scoring in that time. We started with injuries, a bad schedule and no confidence. Everything is the opposite and Johnny is just getting started. I'd trade him for Mcdavid, maybe, but that's it.

If you had Crosby and Johhny sitting on the bench in 3 on 3, Bennett skates over to change who jumps over for the change? I'd bet money Johnny could take Crosby 1 on 1.

I am a fan of his, but I would like to see a great body of work before I make comments like this.

What I do find impressive, is his ability to continue to be effective. You know the that teams scout him and now know his skills, yet he is still effective.

I have a discussion with an oiler fan last night at the Rebels' game. He was trash talking about how amazing Taylor Hall was doing, 4th in scoring. He was saying "Johnny who?". I took that opportunity to remind him that Johnny was 3 pts back in scoring, but 103 spots back in draft pick. He changed the topic to how badly the Rebels were playing.

For those who care, Johnny second only to Seabrook in 3v3 for P/60 with at least 4 minutes played.

Pretty easy response, it's Johnny Hockey dumbass. 50/50 on trolling or if he's just infected with greaser stupidity.

OT records waiting for Gaudreau(career: 3G,5A,8P):
  • Most overtime goals, career: Jaromir Jagr, 19
  • Most overtime assists, career: Mark Messier, 18
  • Most overtime points, career: Sergei Fedorov, 27
  • Most overtime goals, season: Steven Stamkos (2011–12), 5
  • Most consecutive overtime goals: Andrew Cogliano (2007–08) and Nathan Horton (2010–11), 3

It sure makes me smile thinking that withing a few season they will all have Gaudreau written on them.

Not sure how obvious it was on TV, but the loud cheer just as Johnny jumped over the boards in OT was impressive. The whole building absolutely buzzes with anticipation of something amazing happening with #13 in when it gets to extra time.

It's almost like people now hope Monahan/Gio/Brodie don't score in the first shift so we can see what Johnny will do with the puck.

It was exciting to here. Can't remember but I think Johnny is the first person on the flames that crowd chants his name (forgot what game last year) and now during OT since Iginla.
