Anyone else annoyed that this is a Flames game and they're still talking about McDingaling?

Force them to the outside Russell, is it such a hard concept?

It's been a great game for the Flames so far. Don't know if it's all down to Brodie's coming back but the D finally look settled and contributing offensively.

Just need more confidence around the net, but they're doing everything right. Should be a 3-1 game right now.

Also, is anyone else shocked that there is cheap glass constantly needing replacement at the Canadian Tire Centre?

He bit on the fake shot trying to block what he thought was coming. Wideman screen Hiller by sliding too far left.

Based off his play, at least we can re-sign Russell for cheaper at the end of this year!

"The Senators haven't had a shot on net in more than 10 minutes". Net shot is a goal. Story of the Flames year.

I agree here. I can't for the life of me figure out how Bennett hasn't scored yet this year. Going to all the dirty areas, doing all the right things but just can't bag a goal.

This is gut check time for Calgary. They have to find a way to overcome that late goal and finish off the Sens. They are still carrying momentum. They just need to turn it into goals and finish strong.

Every goal against does not have to be someones fault

- Wicked snipe
- Russell blocks that shot 80% of the time... great read by that forward to hesitate and cut in
- Wideman was staying between the puck and his man which was the proper positioning.

I would be more upset with Anderson letting in Hamiltons shot than Hiller letting that in (although both shots were bound to go in)

Not at all shocked. Probably made by mastercraft and installed with matercraft tools.

Still waiting for Monahan to make a positive impact on a game. He was Mr. 3rd period last year. I hope he finds that edge again in crunch time.

Dougie says he fanned on that shot, but man that was a bullet.

That's the point though, if he played the angle properly the fake shot would have been forced outside as well. The defenders job should be to occupy the space where the forward is trying to go and force him to skate to the outside and down low so he has no quality shots.
