Jankowksi was a beanpole and therefore college was the perfect route for him to go. Coach works him in slowly on the lower lines while he fills out and matures and then he moves up into all key situations now as a Senior.
his first goal too, nothing fancy but it looked like he got that backhand up over the pad from really tight in rather than the goalie being late getting over
I think Janko actually has 23 assists - so 38 points in 34 GP. Hopefully he keeps up this progression. I have a feeling about Gilmour being a darkhorse among our dmen prospects.

What's the earliest date the Friars could be done for the season? Could Google it I suppose but someone already knows without figuring out divisions, bye weeks, invitations and all that I'm sure.

Based on current pairwise rankings, the Friars are pretty much guaranteed an invite to the national tournament regardless of how they do in the Hockey East tournament.
The earliest a team can be eliminated from the national tournament is March 25 to 27th depending on how the NCAA decides to the regional match ups.

If they don't make the Frozen Four, they could be finished at the beginning of April I think.

Regional semi-finals are the 25th (Northeast & Midwest) and 26th (East & West)
If Providence doesn't make the Frozen Four, Jankowski (and Gilmour) could be signed at the end of March and get into the final 5 or 6 games of the season. If they do go back to the Frozen Four, the chances of signing them and burning the first year of their contracts are very low (and impossible if they go back to the Final, which occurs simultaneously with the Flames' final game).
If they don't sign and burn a year, they could still sign an ATO and go to Stockton for the last few games of the season (Stockton's season ends a week after Calgary's, for some reason).
I wonder if DeBlouw will get an ATO with the Heat? MSU is unlikely to win their Conference, and that's the only way they'd get to the NCAA Tournament, so he'll likely be available in a couple of weeks.
Hickey's an interesting case. He's still eligible for two more seasons, but BU has struggled this year after such a strong season last year. I wonder if there's any concern that his game will regress if he goes back for another season? My guess is that he'll go back for one more year, and sign with the Flames next spring.

There's just not enough room for Gilmour and Hickey to go pro. Knowing how the Flames like to have more bodies that not, I can see the depth chart being:
Gio-Brodie
Hamilton - Wideman
Smid - Engelland
Nakladal or Free Agent
