Camping out was a lot of fun. We would turn on a tv and play video games and watch OTA CBC playoff broadcasts.

Camping out for game 5 in '89 was great. Grabbed a sleeping bag and lawn chair at the end of game 4 and headed down. We managed to get Pizza 73 to deliver to the line.

Less charming were the guys who were kicking down fences in Vic Park to build bonfires.

I lined up for games 3, 4, & 6 Flames/Oilers 86 playoff tickets at the Olympic Saddledome. Was 15 and given the okay to skip school to do it (you still rule for that decision Mom)! The nosebleed seats hadn't been put in yet so only 150 tickets at 2 per person were sold to the public. I had lower bowl ("reds") seats and paid $35 a seat for game 6.

I read this back and can't help but smile and feel a little nostalgic... and not so young.

I like people who call Sport Chek "Sportchecks". I remember getting a phone call from Sportchecks 5 minutes after Freakin' Sapykrin had scored the Game 5 winner to tell me I had "won" the right to buy tickets to Stanley cup game 6. Good times.

I actually DON'T remember lining up outside of Sportchek during the 04 run. There were ballot boxes and I just put my name in for draws, alas a lot less hi-tech than today. But I don't think there was ever any first-come-first-serve Sportchek tickets from back then...

There totally was. I remember going out twice in the wee hours of the morning and and driving to multiple Sportchecks and finding the line was already too long to try.

Edit: Might have only been for round 1.

Back in 2004 after the Flames clinched a playoff spot they released playoff tickets the next morning. We went straight from the bar to the dome and proceeded to camp out all night long taking turns warming up and sleeping in a buddies car. About half an hour before tickets were going on sale everyone rushed the line (we were near the front) and there was nearly a riot. Luckily we still got tickets but boy were we pissed.

Good times playing street hockey at the dome and ordering pizza to 'the line outside the saddledome' haha.

What a fata-ing bad omen for the Flames to send out emails for Game 6 tickets even before tonight's game was played....

I've got the rejection email once again...

Was the box office where Dutton's is now? The video made it seem so.

Guys check ticketmaster tomorrow... even if only the PL seats are available, the atmosphere just alone is worth it.

Whatever is left goes on sale @ 12. From the looks of it there is just PL tickets left in pairs. Lots of singles around the Dome though.

Just like it was a bad omen when playoff tickets were announced on March 17th after they lost that night. That one turned out terribly.

The game's tomorrow. When do you want them to release the tickets and email? They need to sell all the tickets. As much as I'd like to hope for the best all the time, you still need to have a back up plan if everything doesn't go as expected.

Holy S##T!!!
Parents vacationing in Phoenix, knew dad signed up for tickets and was rejected for games 3 and 4, haven't heard from him since Monday. Check his email at work, he's selected for tomorrows game!!!!!!!!!!

Just grabbed a pair in the 200's (207 row 22) - total cost $260.75
(looks like there's 2 rows up here almost completely empty)

Lot's of seats up in the 300's still, I'd say at least 200+ tickets still available.
Quite a few pairs of the pricey tickets ($500.00 a piece)

Cant wait for tomorrow now.
