I still think the knockoff jerseys are better than wearing a $40 t-shirt.
It fills the dome in a sea of RED either way. Nobody on TV will notice who is wearing a real jersey or not and that is what matters.
No more negative!! This is a big day.

What is the atmosphere like in Calgary today? Describe it for those of us who are not there.
Does it feel like playoffs? All over the radios? People got their flags up?
There's definitely a vibe. I expected more car flags but at work today it was topic #1 for sure. I know a lot of people that are going and we're all super pumped. More fired up than I've been for years about a Flames games.

I assume that the other "working" people like I are distracted as hell.
As far as I can tell, still quiet, but the atmosphere is just bubbling under the surface. I think it's a reserved buzzing in the city. Almost as if many don't want to jinx anything or want to hold up the humble front. It started as a whisper but is generally beginning to invade average conversations as well.
I have seen people walk up to others to comment on jerseys and chat stats since the Colorado game a few weeks back. I think bottled up emotions will burst tonight.
At least in the north sector so far.
Anyone with a more current report from down town?

sooo ... I'm up already. Was trying to get 6 or 7 hours of sleep ahead of the game (puck drop is at 3 AM over here), but it didn't work - too damn excited and too damn nervous, I guess. Thanks Flames for stealing my sleep all season!
I'm almost hoping for the flames to lose tonight so that my Sharks could be the team responsible for knocking the Kings out of the playoffs (and CGY in). It's all we shark fans have to live for these days...
But make way... I'll be jumping on that CGY bandwagon as soon as the POs start
repeat after me... BEAT-L-A!! BEAT-L-A!! BEAT-L-A!! BEAT-L-A!! BEAT-L-A!!
have fun guys - you flames fans have endured a few really tough years and now you're getting the payoff - what an insanely fun season you guys have had... I'm SO JEALOUS!

Not everyone can afford a "real" jersey, for whatever that is worth. Says nothing about them as fans. Let people enjoy themselves.
I'd rather not buy an illegal/counterfeit product. It definitely says something about the fans that wear them. There was a time when I couldn't afford a real jersey so I went without one. I didn't need to buy a knock off to help me fit in. A $10 t shirt worked just fine for me. Just because I can't afford something, doesn't give me the right to get it for free or through illegal means.

As stated above I didn't know those were Chris's designs. I thought they were trying to be an exact replica of the retro. When this was pointed out to me I thanked the post. When I looked at it I really thought it was a knockoff, not an original design.

Lots of Flames talk around DT today. My office feels like a ghost town right now, and I assume many are heading to the 'Dome or out to catch the game on the tube. I am sure I'll see a bunch of jerseys around Craft/National on 10th Ave, as I head out.
It does feel a bit like '04...

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

My floor is sadly all Oiler fans so not much excitement around me yet. But I think I have enough nervous energy for everyone in our office right now!

Yes, but can we not concentrate on the debate on illegal/counterfeit product, instead, concentrate on cheering the Flames beat the crap out of the Kings? We can come back to debate whether getting knocked off has merits.
Hell ya, two points tonight and we clinch!? We got this. Red Mile here we come! Maybe then we'll get to see Bennett in a useless game against the Jets!
Who has the rights to that flames girls .com or whatever it was? Remember what cell phone cameras were like in 2004!? Flames girls flashing in HD is going to be so much better...I'm not going to get any work done in April...
That site was started by a well known CP member. I'll let him stay anonymous in case he'd prefer it that way, but he's a good guy and surprisingly not a sleaze ball at all

Haven't seen kids running around on streets with home made signs asking for people to honk. And car horns honking of course. It's there for sure, but not 100% yet.
