Diaz has been just okay but he'd be better if he wasn't panicking to make a pass or shot every time he possessed the puck. Needs better patience.

I think the flames are better this period than the first - starting to skate better and get in on the forecheck

He's been a brighter spot than expected, for sure. But the point I was making, and I should have made it clearer, is that perhaps Hartley should begin subbing players into and out of the lineup more given the fact that it has been extremely taxing on players since Gio went down.

No, that's why you waive it off quickly and the d-man will go into a defensive posture rather than skating as hard as he can towards the puck. You don't see the big crashes on plays that are waived off early.
