I was pulling for the Pats so obviously happy with the outcome, but either way it was a pretty good game. Close throughout, some good plays by both sides, and a memorable finish (in more ways than one).

Not sure if a Super Bowl can ever live up to the hype but this year was a good one IMO.

Insanely frustrating.

Hate the Patriots and I hate... I Hate.... I HATE Tom Brady.

Are you kidding?

Luck has nothing to do with his success. I am far from a Patriot or Brady fan, but there is no question he is one of the best to ever play the game and it is not debateable.

That's like saying Gretzky was lucky to win and find as much success as he did ...its absurd.

Can I add that D-bag is the best QB in NFL history

Did HE win the Super bowl or did a bad play call lose this one for the Seahawks? Brady Lucked into this ring. So yes I am serious.

Did I say Brady sucked or was unworthy of being one of the best or luck being apart of his past success? Nope, sure didn't. I said I hate him and the Patriots.

No....it didnt help, but as with any game, its 60 minutes long. there were a lot of plays that got everything down to that point in the game.

If you want to focus on "luck"...what about the "catch" that got Seattle down that close to begin with?

There is no luck involved in the outcome of this game...its all about hard work, preperation and execution by the whole team....NE was a bit better today is all. Brady was named MVP...but he was lucky? No.

Just an unreal play by Butler. He's a good three yards deep in the end zone, and even takes a step when the ball is snapped. He reads the underneath slant and comes blazing in to take the ball away. A half second late, or a yard too slow and the receiver catches the ball and probably scores (assuming it's not jarred loose).

the seahawks were more than lucky to even be in this game, they should of lost against green bay.

and then the only reason the hawks were that close to the endzone this game was due to a really lucky play.

luck is part of sports, every sport, and often to have luck on your side, you have to be good. Brady is a good QB, he didn't win this ring because of luck, he won because he played a great game, good enough to be MVP of the game, so no, he didn't win because he 'lucked' into it

Seemed like it might have been big at the time, but Kearse's drop on that third down that would have had them inside the 25 already up 24-14 turns out to be a critical moment. 27-14 or 31-14 makes things entirely different.

WOOHOO! The Patriots may be cheaters, liars, ######bags, whatever makes you feel less bad about your own team.... but at least they are not the classless, roid-raging thugs that Seattle embraces oh so dearly. This loss should knock them down a few pegs.

After weeks of hearing the media rip apart the Patriots with all sorts of manic accusations trying to taint their legacy, this win feels absolutely freaking terrific, man.

I agree. I was thinking this could be a pivotal play when Kearse dropped the ball and it likely had some bearing on the outcome.

Love to see Brady cement his status as one of the best ever. Watching a living legend play football is something i will appreciate for a long time. I like Russel Wilson but Doug Baldwin Richard Sherman and Marshawn Lynch are all such idiots, have no mental filter it's very satisfying seeing the Pats win

The four TD passes for 28 points means yes HE did win the Super Bowl.

It's a major accomplishment to get four TD's in one game, let alone the biggest game of them all.

woooo!

that's said I don't mind the Seahawks. We want characters (good and bad) in the game and want them to speak (or not) speak their minds. Made for a fun week. I mean do we really want everyone to be like Joe Flacco?

Have to admit when wrong.

Thought that Patriots short-passing attack was an awful matchup against the Seahawks D and couldn't understand why Belichick chose to throw the ball so much instead of using Blount.

They did the exact same rub-route plays that the Broncos tried last year, guess the difference at the end of the day was the Pats receivers were willing to take the inevitable abuse to pick up 3 yards whereas the Broncos weren't.

It's comforting to see that the LOB can be beat by a short-passing offense but it's clear that it requires almost perfect execution and Brady was able to deliver that.

Lots is going to be typed on the Internet about the play-call so won't re-hash that other than to say it was a bad call. How about Belichick not calling the timeout, putting the game in the hands of his defense on their own 1-yard line. Don't see how that was a logical move at all but he looks like a genius now.

Reading this post about luck with the definitive comment about Brady not being lucky to win this super bowl is so contradictory. So in short, everyone was lucky to get to the game, the fate of Brady and patriots offense was out of their hands and needed some luck to win the game...

So after all that, it turns out Brady did luck into his super bowl ring today. sort it out.

EDIT: I'll show myself out as it seems folks would love to celebrate the demise of the Seahawks or a Pats win. I'll take my Pats and Brady hate out now.

I agree the right call was to play defence -- it managed to work out for the Pats.

Those are different because the game was tied. So if you don't let them score, they'll just run out the clock and kick a 19 yard FG.

In this case the Seahawks needed a TD so the Patriots must defend.

Belichick not calling the timeouts would have made him the massive goat after the game has Seattle scored. Terrible decision but he got bailed out.
