Also, how can he acknowledge the lack of work ethic and urgency and not see the coach as the problem. Talking about needing urgency isn't enough. Good coaches get it from the players because they can motivate.

This. It really shouldn't matter how many coaches they have gone through. They haven't chosen the right one in Eakins either. It was a mistake to not hire a veteran coach who knows what it takes to win.

I love that they are refusing to tear it down. Best news I've heard in weeks.

I poke a lot at EDM (who doesn't?), but have little doubt MacTavish could be an elite GM. Very well-rounded knowledge, guy who gets it.

I actually think MacT is a good coach, GM, have no idea. However, I will say, how can anyone really judge MacT as a GM while he's got Lowe above him being an idiot. No one in that organization can be set up for success when the President of Hockey Ops. is such an arrogant fool. Biggest fear is Katz loses his Bromance and turfs Lowe, I fear that will be the first step in the right direction for our rivals. As long as Lowe is captain, mistakes should continue to be made.
