With 14 points. Edmonton is essentially out of the playoffs 21 games into the season.

The Oilers may never make the playoffs again.

The cajones on Hartley are huge. Pulling the goalie with more than 3 minutes left in the game??! Respect.

2 more points is all that matters. Oh, and Glencross is back. That could prove to be huge for us.

I love the smell of a flames win and oilers implosion in the morning.

I admit it. I changed the channel when it was 4-2 late in the 3rd. I should know better with this team.

Another asking thing about this team is the coach's willingness to put rookies in key situations - Gaudreau, Jooris, Granlund even Ferland all get a crack at it when the game is on the line.

Except Sven I mean ...

Don't forget / undersell the fact that Knight was the third shooter in the shoot out. Hartley knew there's. Good chance the third shot happens and therefore would mean a lot. Pretty high pressure situation to put a call up in knowing it could be for the win or to keep the team alive.

Flames are so lucky Ference chose the Oilers over them. Flmes had to settle for their backup plan, Kris Russell.

Another bullet dodged there by Feaster.

Russell and Ference are completely different defensemen, so I highly doubt that Russell was the backup plan for Ference. Trading for Smid was the backup plan, I think.

No wonder why New Jersey lost 18 games in a row in the shootout. No Jagr? They were some baffling choices for New Jersey.

These wins are getting more and more improbable. It may be a sign that the wheels are about to fall off or maybe this is a team of destiny.

Hartley's post game - gives props to the fans for sticking around at 4-2.

Edmonton: fans boo the team off the ice.

I was going to bring this up. The building still looked pretty full on TV with the Flames down by two goals late in third.
Good on Harley for acknowledging this.

Eakins in his post game conference thanked the fans not letting things get ugly like they do in other buildings (paraphrasing on my part).
