That's "kitty bar the door", which is wrong, but at least an easy to understand mishearing of the actual phrase, "Katy bar the door".


If you search for "kitty by the barn door" on Google, in quotes, all of the links but one are to people making of fun of Rob Kerr for saying it (here, and in a game against the Oilers in April, apparently).

If you search for it without quotes, you get a couple links to "katy/kitty bar the door" and a bunch of links to people posting about their cats and barns.
