Looks like Poirer added an assist this afternoon as Gatineau beat Rimouski 5-4 in OT. He was also -1 with 2 PIM (delay of game), and was stopped in the shootout, according to the boxscore.

I think that covers our WHL prospects...
Roy also played and was scoreless.

In the ECHL, the Alaska Aces are having a 3-in-3 away weekend vs the Las Vegas Wranglers.
On Friday, the Aces won 3-2. Ortio had 15 saves on 17 shots. Martin had 1 assist, Eddy was scoreless.
On Saturday, the Aces won 7-2. Ortio got the night off. Martin had 2 assists, Eddy was scoreless.
Would expect Ortio to play today again.
Might be his last game in Alaska then. PMM posted in the Heat thread that Brossoit was likely on his way back to Alaska. Unofficially at this point I think.
They played another game against the #1 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers and lost big, 6-1. Arnold and Gaudreau were both scoreless and -2. Shots were even at 32 a piece, so I don't know if it was a case of the Minnesota goalie having a great game or the BC goalie having a bad game, or both.
The rankings this week should be interesting. Providence should be moving up from #8, but the question is, how high? They went 1-0-1 against the #3 team in the country. Their gain will likely be at Yale's expense, who were #7 last week, and went 1-1 on the weekend. I don't know if PC has done enough to jump ahead of BC too. I've never followed the NCAA rankings before, so I don't know how much they typically move from week to week.

Thatcher Demko is one of the best regarded young goalies in the US. Their supposed upcoming golden child. Unfortunately he has just plain stunk it up in the NCAA and looks terrible.
What has changed in his game since last year to create such an improvement? Whatever it is, I like it!
Couldn't tell you, but he looked like crap during Heat practices. Berra would turn away EVERYTHING and Ortio would get beat glove side every single time.
