Robbie Ftorek is rocking an old school wood Sherwood stick. Coolest.

Also, Joni got beat low stick side A LOT. Brossoit was in some pain after taking a puck off what looked like his collar bone. He just had to skate it off. He was good not 2 minutes later.

Those were my only observations from Heat camp. I was pretty busy doing other stuff.

Lots of drills today. Second half was almost an hour of JUST PP/PK drills.
Ramo looked good.

What's the schedule for tomorrow? The Flames website only posted yesterday's practice time but nothing for today or tomorrow.

The Flames have done a poor job of keeping the fans updated on the training camp.

The training camp schedule section of the website goes up to the 17th, and then the press release for the first wave of cuts mentioned Friday's schedule only.

Lack of updates in the media as well. Very few updates or observations on twitter or in the papers.

Yeah initially they only posted the scores of the scrimmages, not even any info about who scored.

Horak back in the middle, Galiardi, Reinhart, and Knight to the wings. Interesting.

“@VickersFC: Hartley said Galiardi was going down the middle and it was up to the centers to push him to the wing. He's Monahan's winger tomorrow night.”

I have to eat some crow, as I didn't think Monahan would play an NHL game this season. I'm going to be shocked now if he's not in the lineup on opening night.

Galiardi-monahan-hudler would be an unreal "third" line.

Getting closer to the opening night lineup.

Looks like there will be a battle to play Centre tomorrow. I could see Reinhart, Knight, and Bouma all getting time down the middle too.

I'm surprised that the defence seems set. Those six plus Butler are the likely 7 to start the season. I thought Ramage and Wotherspoon would get another game.

Hoping ferland can have a good last few games in camp. Liked him in rookie camp but haven't seen him impress as much. He worked hard over the offseason and think he could bring a good mix of skill and grit.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're seeing how Smith and Russell perform to see if they should keep one of the kids up in place of them. Wotherspoon probably has the best shot to get a few games in.

He's not too strong for the CHL and has a ton of stuff to work on down there. Will likely be there for at least two more seasons.

He can beat ass on anyone in the chl. He's got a lot still to learn.
