I know we are not suppose to give tips, but i think you guys are picking the wrong players. Let me throw some names out for you guys to think about:
How about Chris Butler on D for "RichKlit".
Stajan at center for "iLoveLamp" would look good
"PlayfulGenius" wants another RW, look no farther than Tim Jackman for your next pick.

Not trying to raise a fuss here. But I kind of side with drake. Can't let people holding up the process get preferred picks any time they want. If they aren't making picks within the time limit, should be auto picked. I know this is for fun and all but if they finally come online right before my pick say ten picks later and take the guy I want, it's not entirely fair to those who've been making their picks on time regularly.
Just an opinion and it may side on the minority but ill be okay with whatever the majority decides going forward.

I really don't like giving auto picks though. That's my main problem with it.

It's cool. I guess if it was a more serious draft, stiffer penalties may have to be discussed but I digress. Let's just get some picks rolling.

Also i changed the rule so that after 12 hours we just simply skip over the person who is holding everyone up and they can pick once they eventually show up. If they really wanted a player that is available badly enough then they would pick on time.

Not a fan of auto pick. They could end up getting a better player than they actually intended.
Maybe we could make up a quick list of crap players that would be used ie, Chris Butler. It would give those that are taking their sweet time some incentive to stay on top of things.

I agree with no autopick, I think skipping is fine. If someone missed pick #90, and you have pick #100, but they show up right before you make their pick and pick the guy you want at 99th, then you aren't being punished - you still get your regular 100 pick. Sure, the guys that would have picked 91-99 get a tiny advantage being bumped up one spot, but you aren't being screwed...

Why don't we just give them guys like Burrows, Kesler and Luongo? Im sure they won't be missing any picks if thats the case

Damnit, thought I would get away with a steal but after double-checking the list I pick Ilya Kovalchuk instead!

Yeah I agree with skipping picks instead of autopicks, we're at the point now where there isn't much difference if you're forced to slide down a few spots. There are really a bunch of players that could be taken with each pick. Whatever speeds up the process though, especially on weekends when we should be able to get more picks in than on weekdays; yet we've barely got any picks in the last two weekends because a couple people are holding things up.
Good to see things are finally moving again though.

Hmmm interesting pick in Kovalchuk. I figured he'd drop very far after his bolt to the KHL (I got him at 101 last time) but out of the all time LW's he has to be up their in the top class.

I don't get the logic here.. has they picked on time, they would have picked before you anyway.. how can you possibly perceive that as hurting you?... especially as its just as likely that the auto-pick is the player you'd want at your pick.

way too early for Kovalchuk, IMO... realy good offensive player, obviously, but not the type of player to build a team a around... much better as a later round pick.

Since I'm going for an all european team and with an already deficiency of LW's along with a shortage of time I felt that I needed to secure him.
