Wouldn't surprise me if he is under consideration. He's accomplished plenty in recent years. And done so on international ice. He won't win a tonne of games, but if he plays the bulk of games and has a high save percentage, I wouldn't be stunned.

At this point I'm thinking Kipper simply forgot to file the retirement papers. Or no one told him there was paper work to be done. Because nothing in what he has said has suggested that coming back is an option.
And no Flames goalie will have good stats next season, whoever they will be. All goalie stats are team stats and these guys are going to get thrown to the wolves.

Hypothetically- say Kipper plays this year, I actually think Ramo would have a better shot at cracking the Olympic roster than him given Ramo's experience on international ice. With that being said neither of them really stands a chance with Rask, Niemi, Rinne, and Lehtonen all ready to go.
