He should have siad something by now.
The only reason i can see that he has not said anything yet , is that he is in a meeting with ownership.

The prudent thing to do would be to meet internally and make sure that everyone is coming out with a consistent message (whatever that may be.)

If Feaster is to be fired before anyone the one who should be fired its KKing the King of deflection in the Flames organization JMO.
Should Feaster be fired, yesterday he was the Flames Messiah today chopped liver.
|
He was chopped liver yesterday because no lay hockey fan should have any idea about this clause, so it looked like a great move. The only people who should know about little clauses like this are the ones hired by the organizations to comb through the CBA. The fact that the Flames organization missed this is unacceptable. Doesn't matter that other teams didn't know about it as well, they didn't sign O'Reilly, we did.

Congrats on your first post in 2 years. Oiler fans coming out of the woodwork now that it's not their team being embarrassing. Easter break in Edmonton has ended.

Imagine if Colorado was still deciding on whether to match the offer sheet when news of the waivers came out. They could have extorted a deal out of Feaster.
Hey Jay,
We will match and save you from losing a 1st and 3rd if you trade us Tj Brodie for a 5 th round pick

OR they ask for something from Columbus.
"We won't match and let you take Ryan O'Reilly, but you're going to bend over for us on this trade for Dubinsky."

This is a big thing for me.
Man up and face the music. If he cowers and the Flames organization refuses to comment on this horrendous mistake, I'll no longer be able to wear a Flames jersey with any sort of pride.

there are plenty of fans who did not like or trust Feaster WELL before this fiasco and have been voicing those reservations in plenty of threads.
I thought the ROR was a dumb move yesterday, and it looks flat out idiotic now.

Gets credit for every move the Bruins have made in the last decade including those when he wasn't apart of the organization (Bergeron, Kessel, Lucic, Marchand, Krejci, Chara).

Good point. This makes Sherman look almost as bad as Feaster.
Either way, Jay's gotta go.

Will Feaster last longer than Tallon did, after the RFA qualifying offer mistake?

Yep this is scary stupid and the franchise is just plain lucky not to be in an incredibly bad spot. This guy was all bluster and no results. Now we see he can't even do a diligent job of finding out the facts. Adios has to be the answer. How can they trust the guy now?

Yeah, Sherman should be canned as well.
He missed an opportunity to put the squeeze on Feaster and the Jackets new GM from a position of massive strength.

It's like trying to fire the coach when the real problem is the players. Why bother?
|
This could be the straw that break the camel's back though. They hired a puppet and it blew up in their faces. The chances of them hiring a real GM now are much higher than if they fired Feaster for not putting a winning team on the ice, IMO.

It doesn't matter that the Avs matched. It really doesn't matter at all. Its the fact that Feaster made a move that nearly set the franchise back another couple of years. Just because the Avs matched means this oversight should just be water off our backs? No big deal? No, this was a big screw up, even if it doesn't mean we lose everything and gain nothing. The guys upstairs should know more about this and be better at their job.
