I think those two issues were as cut and dry in this situation as any example could be.
Wheter or not he actually received supplemental discipline is one thing, but the fact that it wasn't even reviewed, given those two things, is incredible, confusing, and frustrating.

Not puzzled at all. This is a bush league run by old boys club who took one too many hits to the head themselves. Business as usual.

Honest question: Who's hit was worse? Hansen or Coyle.

Kind of surprising to me that Coyle isn't getting at least a fine. Even Kyperos thought it deserved a match penalty.

imo Coyle.
Not just being a Canucks hater either. Intent was evident with the Coyle hit.

I missed the game last night and only saw the replay from a below average angle...that being said I'd say Hansen by far.
Stajan sees Coyle coming, and he just got rid of the puck so he should be expecting a hit
Hansen blind sides Hossa before the puck arrives.

Of course the Devils win in OT on a blown miss call by the refs.

Coyle was worse in terms of intent, Hansen's was more dangerous.

What drama? Iīve never seen a 5 min powerplay without a shot to the net. Itīs pretty rare that it happens with a 2 min powerplay and even that is pathetic. But 5min? Down right lazy, unwilling and embarrasing. Time to put the glasses away.
And yeah, 2 short-handed goals on a PP is pretty embarrasing too.

It happens almost every single game on a 2 minute penalty.

How about 1 shot and no scoring chances in 9 minutes of PP? Is that a frequent occurrence?

Never claimed it was frequent. Nor was I defending their play.
What I said was that people were over-reacting.

It would be overreacting if it wasn't a common. Calgarys plays this way all to often.

You have anything to contrubite to the point I was making? No? Thought so.

What? You made an inaccurate statement " Itīs pretty rare that it happens with a 2 min powerplay and even that is pathetic" which I challenged.
You also attacked me with the " Time to put the glasses away" garbage, which I ignored.
Then you come back with this ^ which, ironically, contributes nothing.
I will not be wasting any more time with you.

As opposed to your highly accurate "it happens every game"
Really sorry I took your time on a internet forum!

Calgary doesn't enter the zone as a three-man unit, they typically have two guys standing at the line, waiting for the puck carrier to either cross the blue line, or pass it to one of them so they can enter.
Entering the zone as a unit with speed is the primary cog in any offensive scheme, and I know Hartley is preaching it during practice, so why are these players so incapable of doing it consistently?
It makes the life of an opposing defenceman far too easy.
