I don't mind the alternate in that set, but I do like the current color scheme, just think the patterns are kinda bad. If that third's colors were reversed it would look better IMO. Although it would still be red.

It seems like a lot of people want us to go back to a retro style jersey, much like we wore during the Cup run of '89. However, it is possible that that desire is more emotionally driven? Is it possible that we have, especially by now, come to associate that jersey style with being a winning club?

It just seems like the expectation is, "If we can go back to those jerseys somehow we will become a winning culture again."

But no matter what, it's 2012. It's time to move on. We need to be going forward, not back.

I don't think so. I think many see how our current alternate retro looks, and find the style really suits the Flames logo and colour; and doesn't look outdated.

The overall design of the jersey just works. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Not even close. It's the asthetics that draw people back to them. The only comments I've ever heard about them, is related to how they look so good compared to what we have now. Nobody ever says it reminds them of our best years. They are damn fine looking jerseys.

Yep those vintage style jerseys are awesome... I think we should use the third jersey to try out a new logo or style every couple years and go back to the traditional colors. Especially like moving away from the black flaming C.

Like the home and away, but that secondary jersey is way too close to a Canucks retro for my liking.

I agree. Like I said before, way too close to the old mid-nineties Canucks jerseys.

I would rather the horse head as the primary logo on the alternates, but regardless, I'll take one of each

This with a little more red. Maybe like a deep blood red color.

Just to be clear, I can't take credit for the design I posted. I came across it on HF of all places.

I prefer the 80s whites. Keep the yellow/gold to a minimum. I like that black jersey, but it looks a little Ottawa Senators-y to me.
