Underated: The Matrix I: This movie gets caught up in its awful sequels and the bad ripoffs. This movie changed the way other movies were made.

Overated: Good Will Hunting. Everything about this movie is annoying, including the lame ambiguous title, which may or may not be a pun.

The Matrix has sequels? I don't believe it. Next you're going to be telling me that Lucas and Spielberg made Indiana Jones 4.

I always thought Arrested Development, Scrubs, Despicable Me, Starship Troopers were underrated.

Overrated was Shakespear in Love.

Thought so too. As a satire on your typical war movie, it's pretty good.

While I much prefer Ace Ventura as a movie, the Cable Guy may be Jim Carrey's best performance.

He's was actually convincing as a funny/sad/weirdo/psycho/stalker.

I liked Weeds in the first three seasons. Since season three, it's a Big Love-esq train wreck.

I like Liar Liar as his best performance. As silly as it sounds, I thought he should have been considered for a freakin Oscar for that role. There are no other actors on this planet that can pull off half the stuff he did in this movie. The pen scene, the washroom scene, the scene when he's making fun of the co-workers in the boardroom, no one could do what he did. It's a shame that comedies like these never get any kind of recognition for the performances that go into them.

He was very strong in Cable Guy as well. Haven't seen in in awhile, gonna check it out soon.

The Cable Guy is definitely a movie that require some re-viewings to really decide if you like it or not. I'm one of those that falls into the "I like it" category.

Is this real life? Everyone knows the best Jim Carrey movie ever is Dumb and Dumber. Don't care if you think he "acted" better in other movies, Dumb and Dumber is such a great comedy that it is the greatest role of anyone who is associated with its greatness.

Normally, I would assume that enough people would recognize this that I wouldn't dare have to mention Dumb and Dumber in this thread, but apparently I was wrong. Dumb and Dumber is the greatest comedy ever made, and I'm mentioning it because clearly not enough people recognize that.

Definitely, it's the best Jim Carrey movie ever, no doubt. But it was far from his best performance. He was freaking amazing in Liar Liar. The movie wasn't nearly as good, but his performance was unreal.

with few exceptions, Reality TV sucks a$$

Caprica was underrated; Sarah Connor Chronicles was really good as well; it would have been way better without John's useless girlfriend, Riley. Man that was a stupid story arc

Hated the Cable Guy. If I want Carrey in a dramatic role I will watch the Truman show, I can't put a finger on it why, but I like that movie

Does it get better? I couldn't make it through the first half of the first episode, but I also didn't like the last 2 seasons of BSG

The Cable Guy is one of the worst movies in the history of cinema. I'd rather watch a running loop of two kids one sandbox.

It's "kids in a sandbox", not two kids. And **** that video.

For the love god people, don't google it. Please, save your yourselves from the agony. There is nothing worse on the internet, than god damn "kids in a sandbox".

I started watching American Horror Story due to hearing about it in the Season Premieres Thread, and it's a really good show. I'm pretty much ####ting my pants every episode, but no one I talk to seems to have ever heard of it before. So I guess that would classify it as underrated in my eyes?

The Guard. Great movie, very fun watch. Some people just don't get or understand humor from across the pond.

Rating: 7.4/10 - 11,726 votes - Much better than a 7.4

American Horror Story S2 info. So if you have not finished the first season do not read.

I don't know where to put this but everyone needs to check out Betty White's Off Their Rockers. Funniest thing I've seen in a while. It's on NBC right now.
