That is clearly and intentionally taking his comment out of context.

He didn't say "damn there seems to be a lot of little whores coming forward".

He said "boy this sick #### was practically using these poor kids as his personal escort service".

Now whores isn't the best word to use but in the context of the quote he meant to suggest closer to the way my second version of the quote goes.

I really think in this case your really misunderstaniding what Hoz was getting at in terms of using the term whores.

But the bottom line is in a lot of ways he was gathering these boys by using his organization, he was in effect grooming them and creating his own brothel, that doesn't mean that Hoz was stating that these boys were swapping sexual favors for rewards like a cheap Boston Pizza franchise.

One of the hallmarks of Pedophiles is that they take a lot of pride in buidling a twisted relationship through grooming, they'll take kids that have lousy situations at home, or school or whatever and they'll build them up, help them out and try to become their friends, then they'll take advantage of that friendship.

We saw it with Graham James, and we read about it everyday.

The Pedophile doesn't think that what he's doing is wrong because Pedophilia to them is a natural sexual preference.

though

If you look at the mobile brothels that the Japanese used for their troops during the second world war, these woman were raped, they were willing whores.

Its an unfortunate term to use.

Paterno sold his house to his wife for $1, 4 months before the #### hit the fan. Not a lawyer but I can't think of any reason for doing this, other than protecting the house from the #### storm brewing

tax planning. There are lots of reasons assets are transferred between spouses or family members. Liability is one reason, but tax planning is the overwhelming majority in my experience.

It could be but everything about this case tends to indicate Paterno and the school knew this was coming, that all they were waiting for was for the 409th win, if that is the case, well it all actually becomes sicker than Sandusky if that is possible.

Unless he can show that it was for legitimate reasons (e.g. business, estate planning), it would be termed a fraudulent conveyance and overturned. It certainly smells of avoidance.

Hard to see how a 500,000 house would make any difference to Paternos tax status one way or the other, especially as he's in his 80's.

My guess is his lawyer told him he was going to lose everything else so he is trying to protect something for his wife.

The term you're looking for is victim.

If a woman is forced into being a sex slave for the gain of others then she is a victim not a whore.

Are you a U.S. Tax lawyer? I'm not, but I do know they have estate (read: death) taxes in the U.S. when someone dies. Joe Pa is pretty old, maybe he's trying to ensure his wife doesn't have to pay capital gains on the house upon his death as it could be deemed a disposition? Maybe by doing this between spouses, he avoids it.

There could be a number of legitimate reasons for this.

I think your missing what I said Reaper.

I agree that their victims, Hoz would agree that their victims, but from Pedo's point of view and thought processes they weren't.

thats how Pedo's think

They don't see themselves as rapists or perverts, they believe what they do is natural

Syracuse basketball assistant Bernie Fine is in hot trouble as two boys have come forward saying he sexual abused them.

There could be I suppose, but Paterno earned about 1 million a year, and has done for some time, he's an old man with a modest lifestyle who had devouted himself to his coaching, in short one can assume, a multi millionaire.

Spouses dont generally pay any estate tax's either as it is considered jointly held assets, and even if Pennsylvania was different from any jurisdiction I have ever heard off and did force widows to pay tax on the matrimonial home it would be a pittance in comparison with their assets.

To be frank under the circumstances it looks like an attempt to shield what is likely the only asset he can shield, his 'liquid' assets will be frozen quite quickly and will stay frozen for years as the various court cases are heard and even if he wasn't found liable, would effectively leave him and his wife pennyless likely until death.

You can believe what you want but like everything else in this case this stinks to high heaven.

that's garbage. Absolute garbage.

Until you come up with some better evidence that he was hiding assets, I'm on the tax planning side of things.

Apparently these allegations were all ready investigated by the police and the police could not prove any wrong doing. The head coach has called the kids claims as absolute lies.

Could be interesting to see what happens

It's an odd story in some ways. The allegations are from a pair of brothers, so the only corroboration at this point is somewhat shaky as it's not really independent. It's also a bit suspicious that the second brother only corroborated the story since the whole PSU thing came out, although I suppose that seeing it happen elsewhere may have been the push needed for him to come forward.

Apparently the one brother gave the police 4 names during investigation and not one of them could corroborate a story. But if it is in fact like pen state no matter how many names you give the police non of them will turn on the school and the program.

Yeah, even if it's not a 'turn on the program' thing other victims may not want to come forward for their own reasons. It could also be a complete fabrication. We don't really know at this point.

It wouldn't surprise me to see more of these cases. The role of coach enables access and power to victims, so it would be a natural path for some of these scumbags to pursue.
