Okay. Cool story. I was in West Hillhurst today and thought I would stop in and try out Dairy Lane (it is very small), and a few minutes after me and my kids sit down, Craig Conroy and his wife and daughters all come in.
Anyway, the burger was awesome, I had it with everything on it (egg, bacon, mushrooms, peppered gouda). Very delicious. The tortillas and guacamole were also awesome, and Craig saw mine and ordered some for his family.
And that's all.

Just went today for lunch. It was pretty good, but a little expensive. Wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Had a double cheese burger with a fried egg, fries and shake. Costs about $22 or so.

I'm eating one now. The quality and taste is about on par with Five Guys, but the price is much higher. On the plus side they serve beer and wine, and the décor is nicer, so it's a better place for a sit down meal.

Jiri I dare you to check out the Aussie Burger at Melrose. I think it has pickled beets, onion, an egg, a slice of fried pineapple and some other stuff. No I haven't tried it. Also, the Badass burger at the Bear and Kilt is another one for ya. Godspeed..

Damn, 22 bucks for a burger combo? Unless we're talking some fancy ingredients, that's a little ridiculous.

Yeah, i think 5 guys is a good comparable. Not as sloppy as 5 guys though.
Yeah, $22 was steep but I guess it was because I wanted to try everything.
$10 for a double with cheese, extra $2 for a fried egg
$4 for fries (they sucked, soggy, lacked flavor)
$5 for a custard shake (pretty good)

Opening day at Smashburger in the NE. I had the Spicy Baja with a side of the fried pickles. The burger is freshly cooked when you order, a little pink in the middle and is nice and juicy. The toppings were fresh (jalapenos were nice and crunchy), and the chipotle bun was nice.
Will definitely go again.

Every Smashburger location has a localized menu. Here's the Calgary one: http://www.smashburger.com/menu/Sunridge
This is their "Calgary" burger: Canadian seasoned grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato and Dijon-mayonnaise on a kaiser roll.

That is bitter sweet news. Happy smash burger is here...but sad this bruger is not on the menu:

Just came back from smashburger. I had Calgary burger with sweet potato smashfries, my wife had Spicy Baja with Fried pickles. My kids shared a kids meal cheeseburger.
Everything was quite good. We enjoyed it more than Five Guys.

why don't you guys post more prominent links to the places other than that tiny little urbanspoon icon. I was reading this one and the first thing I want to know was where the hell it is. Full address and contact info/website would be awesome.
