you've always been able to rebind any control to any key/mouse/joystick button that you've wanted in previous Battlefield games, and the inability to do so in the beta is something that will be fixed for release

Wouldn't EA be able to sell Valve the rights to sell their games via steam, and just charge them thus cornering Valve to increase the price off steam, while EA charges less on Origin?

Got my pre-load email. I think its a great idea that game companies let people do this to avoid the bog down on release day. Still have 4 more days, sigh

the problem i have with preloading on Steam at least is that when it is release day, it takes almost as long to activate the game as it would to download it. when i activated Deus Ex 3 it took a good 15-20 minutes

In terms of not running afoul of anti-trust law, that might be more difficult than simply not offering it.

damn, even the single player campaign is looking pretty awesome with missions for infantry, tanks, and jets

the only problem i have is when will i have the chance to play through it? i'll be so hooked on the multiplayer i'm not sure if i'll ever get around to the campaign

I'm sure the servers will go down at some point in the first couple of weeks, then you'll be able to play until you can't handle it any longer.

I quite like the BattleField single player story lines, so I will defeinitely be playing this one.

are you talking about Bad Company? because all the other Battlefield games i remember didn't have a single player campaign

Thought the campaign in Bad Company 2 was average, but the chaos in this game seems to be pretty cool.

Both love the multiplayer, Single player is forgettable. (expected)

This is only for PC though, Consoles have a day one patch before they get reviewed

yep, just going to post it- there's a proxy going around that allows people to join games. i'm just gonna wait it out though
