With a St Louis win 96 Pts makes the playoff with the highest missing team at 93. If Colorado wins 95 Pts makes the playoffs with the highest missing 94. Overtime Colorado win leads to a 95pt team missing.
All hail the snake.
(Though if the Panthers win out they will miss the playoffs but they are in an abortion of a division with 4 teams worse than No Good)

Well the season is over. 96 points would have allowed the Flames to make the playoffs, as no team in the Western Conference has ever acquired 96 points and missed the playoffs. It's happened twice in the Eastern Conference, but nobody cares about them.
Below are all the snakes. I did not feel like adjusting the borders, so sometimes the snakes just fall off and are never heard from again. If the Flames had won game #81, there would be a tiny red dot in the bottom right corner of one of the second chart. I think the snakes are pretty representative of all three teams. They were teams that weren't good enough to make the playoffs. Hopefully there are better days next year for the red snake. The other snakes can stay exactly as they are.
