I think he's tied into Kadri.
Guessing the Flames have an offer for a retention trade on hold as they work the Kadri without retention angle.
And if not ... maybe they take less for Coleman without retention.

They have made 2 of the biggest selling trades in the league this year. I expect at least one more but they certainly didnt stand pat
