True, but Seattle should've recovered the ball off that fumble. Shouldn't even be in that position.

niners have been exposed big time the last 2 games, they are going to be a 1 and out in the playoffs if they continue to play like this.. Harbaugh must be fuming

Wha? Last game they beat the supposed best team in the NFL... for me this reflects more on how good Seattle is at home right now, firing on all cylinders... Just pure confidence.

you dont think that leading by 28 points and then giving up 28 straight points in a quarter is getting exposed? sure they pulled it out but they should have been embarrased after that game

Eh, more like taking the foot off the pedal, but I see your point.
Vernon Davis out for the game with a concussion. Chancellor is just dominating.

I think they are a better team then both Houston and New England who most people would favor as the top 3 teams to beat in the AFC.

Don't jump to that conclusion just yet, they have already lost to both Houston and New England this year, and the only victories they have against teams above .500 were Baltimore and Cincinnati (two teams no one would consider elite). Aside from Baltimore, the only other decent team they have beaten all year long was Pittsburgh all the way back on week one.
Denver has beaten Oakland twice, San Diego twice, Cleveland, Kansas City (soon to be twice), New Orleans, Tampa Bay and Carolina. Then they lost to Atlanta the only good team in the NFC they played.
They surely had one easy schedule, and could be in deep trouble if they need to beat both New England and Houston. Don't forget how Brady has Manning's number in pressure situations as well.

Hopefully my Vikings can win at home next week. I want to see Peterson get the league MVP.

Yup, I agree they had an easy schedule. But to be fair, those 3 losses were in their first 5 games (over 2 months ago) with a new offense and they didn't get blown out (lost by 6 to Houston, 10 to NE). I don't think it's for certain that Denver gets in the Superbowl as the Texans and Patriots both have quality teams. You can never count any playoff team out. I just think in Denver they will beat either team. If Denver has to go on the road @ Foxboro, then you favor the Patriots. I think at this point of the season Houston and NE are playing so so where Denver is playing well. Next week's seedings will be huge. Whoever gets the 3rd seed will be at disadvantage having to go to #2 and then at #1 to make the Superbowl (assuming no upsets). And Brady dominated the head to head early on, but Manning is actually 4-3 in the last 7 head to head matchups vs Brady including winning the last playoff matchup between the two (Brady did win the lone matchup this year though).

Looks like Houston is the only one who has a difficult game next week going to Indianapolis. I know the Colts really have nothing to play for next week, and may rest their starters, but they may want to make up for their loss last week (especially playing in Indy).
Denver should have no problem with KC, and New England should take care of Miami coming into Foxboro. So if somehow the Texans were to lose, and the Patriots and Broncos were to win, would Houston slide all the way down to #3 in the conference? Denver would have more wins, and the Patriots beat them head-to-head, so that would happen if I am not mistaken?

Yup. In that scenario, Denver is 1, NE 2, Houston 3.
Houston just needs a win to clinch 1. Denver and NE need help.

This season has been so damn unpredictable, you could easily make a case for 6-7 teams with a chance at winning the Super Bowl.
My rankings as of now would be something like this:
Green Bay
Denver
San Francisco
New England
Atlanta
Houston
Seattle (would rank higher if they did not have to go on the road)
Indianapolis
Baltimore
Washington
I'd say the top 7 have all been equally impressive in the second half of the season, and their head-to-head record against each other is quite interesting.
Seattle actually has a pretty impressive record, they have already beaten Green Bay (yeah it counts), New England, and now San Francisco. I know all those victories were in Seattle, but they could easily be the Giants this year and continue pulling off upsets all the way to the championship. Heck they also beat Dallas, Chicago, and Minnesota. For some reason they really have the number of the better teams in the league (yet they lost to the Lions, Cardinals, Rams, and Dolphins); figure that one out...

Another good game by Seattle, now the national audience can see how this team has evolved in the past month and a half.
For those still snivelling, with this win it pushes GB into the two seed and keep Sea in the 1st wild card...both teams would be in the exact same spot if GB won the MNF game.

Seattle, Green Bay and New England are the only teams who have not been beaten by more than 1 score in any of their losses. Which to me signifies a certain level of consistency in their play.
Houston should throw everything they have at the Colts next week, because the difference between being the 1 and three seed in the AFC is going to be huge.

Too bad the Pats didn't show up until Q4 last week, or Seattle would have a shot at the division here. Can't see the Cardinals putting up a fight next week.
