And Kadri prevents that to some degree.

Does he? How many games has he won?
I'd say the relevant success of the Flames has been due to Huska, goaltending, and the defencemen. I can't think of a game that the Flames won where Kadri was the catalyst for the win.

Sportsnet > TSN honestly
Too many gag/silly things on TSN for me to watch it seriously.
Wish we could combine some of the guys from both sets though.
Duthie + Bieksa should be a thing.

Coleman, no. Kadri, seems like might. He's old and one less year, with the back end of his contract being the concern, will likely soften his value.
Especially if he takes a step back because he feels he has little to play for.

I still think he's a knucklehead, but he's carved out a good niche for himself on Sportsnet.

Was in a long bathroom line at the Canmore Hockey Day in Canada.
Really good guy.

Agreed and would allow retention for both if needed.

Just for fun would you support this trade off:
Vegas loses every game for the rest of the season and it turns into a top 10 pick
Flames win the lottery and pick first
4 of our 6 first/second round picks this year make the Olympic team for their respective countries in 2030
But in order to get that…..
Oilers make the playoffs in the last game of the season
Then they beat the Ave’s in game 7 (OT)
Then beat Dallas in 6
Then beat Anaheim in 5
The win the cup over an injury depleted Sabres team in 4
I’m leaning yes, but man would it be tough to stomach the oilers winning.

Nope. He had a good game but that was still on goaltending. And SJ played like crap.

Putting another teams failure ahead of my team, that I enjoy cheering fors, success would be so ridiculous and petty.

I would let the oilers win the cup if we were guaranteed to win the lottery
I want to celebrate a Flames cup win , not Oilers failure

This is why I said term sometimes is a detriment, not an asset, when looking at trading a player. Sometimes contenders strictly want a rental.
The new cap rules for POs are dampening trades this year as well, I bet.

This is the correct answer - hating a rival so much that you would prefer your team fail so they fail, is a sad mentality.
