A little disappointing at the end but it was still a pretty good season overall.

So...season 4 is "Rick runs a prison city"?

I can't wait for people's reaction to the season finale.
I personally really loved it. I like when a show deviates in a different direction and leaves everyone guessing... but I think many people are going to react in the same way that people reacted with the Flames most recent trades didn't pan out as hyped.

Spoilers below, don't be in the thread if you haven't watched yet!
It wasn't bad. I was right on the money with Milton. I think it was too easy what happened to Andrea. She could have pushed Milton back with her feet, stabbed him with one of the handles on the pliers, she had more skill than that. I also fully expecting for the Governor's group to be locked up once they started going in.
Time to lock up the old people at night in case they die in their sleep

I think all the people on the bus were brought in so they can kill off a bunch of people next season. Need to stalk up on zombie food.

Not as epic as the season 2 finale, but still had its moments.

I just wish they could have put the whole prison angle to bed. It's just boring at this point.

Who was the "Andrew" person that Carl said came back and killed Lori? I thought it was just a random walker.

He was the prisoner Rick left for dead outside the prison. He came back and set off the alarms that eventually got Lori and T-Dog killed.

My jaw dropped when the Governor mowed everyone down. Like just totally unreal.

Very!!
And I loved the ending, I loved them bringing a large group to the prison. I want to see the prison become more home as there story progresses.
It was also great seeing the Governor's downfall throughout the season. He's total nut job now, excited to see where he goes next.
With the larger cast I just hope they stay consistent with cast members and numbers. TV pet peeve.

That's my fantasy trying to shop on weekends.
So question, did they maybe not know if they were going to be renewed for another season when they made this episode? For the cliffhanger laden nature of the show, this was rather different.
Not that I didn't like it, but it feels like a mid-season episode rather than a season ending one.
I'm glad they resisted doing some kind of thing that would make it seem Milton could remember his former self. Andrea had to die, too much made about her missing opportunities not to.
But the way the Governor just took out everyone smacked too much of needing to get the show to a certain state. If there's no season 4 then the bad guy's been run off, all the potential problems with the bad guys are dead, everyone's holed up in a fortress, the town is a goldmine of resources. They can sit pretty and re-create society. Serves as a series finale if necessary.
Or if there's a season 4, there's still a bad guy out there to trigger some events that eventually push them out of the prison, or have something happen.

On the one hand, it was a good twist to not leave the prison. On the other hand, haven't they been at the prison long enough?

Best part was the Governor going apepoop. That was awesome. Overall though I kinda expected more from the finale.

My jaw dropped when the Governor mowed all those people down but seriously, that long, drawn out Woodberry storyline for almost the entire season and the Governor doesn't even die?
Such a waste of hype and a very disappointing season finale

Mixed emotion to this episode, but I am liking the direction the more I think about it.
- Ended like Season 1 more than 2 where the next stage hasn't been fully set, very trasitory. Lots of what now questions, and that can be a good thing.
- Rick gained his humanity this his sanity back. Lori is no longer haunting him.
- Carl gone full blood killer, and gives the pep talk to Rick. Loved that. Just how their headed in opposite directions.
- Tyrese, you know he would link up with the group, and that is awesome. Good actor and character.
- Where did the Gov go? What is he up to, and why did his henchmen follow him? I'd like to see reasoning on that next season.
- loved the twists, like making it look like they ran, when they fought, and taking in Woodberry townsfolk.
- Why didn't they just move to Woodberry? Way more resources and fortifications.
- Michonne, dynamic with Andrea, wasn't seen after. What will become of her?
- finally, Andrea. Thank the sweet Lord on that one. Useless right to the end.
Just a few questions in my head, and I look forward to next season!
