I'm a big fan of the melancholy or depressing narrative behind an upbeat pop song. I know I should be dancing, but I end up sobbing every time I hear this song. It just seems so tragic to me. Beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.

I really want them to get back together. They need to make music again. One of the best Canadian bands ever IMO.The musicianship and lyrics are just so beautiful.

What an odd attempt at a pop rock band. Weird and unconventional doesn't do them justice. Like they would write actual hooks in the songs, but then present them in such an strange tone or with odd instruments and rhythms, and it would just be slightly unsettling. Then we can talk about their videos, which are ####ed up to say the least. Case in point.

I'll start by saying that this is one of my favorite films ever, but I haven't seen it in at least a decade, probably more. which means I haven't heard this song or seen it in this context in as long. This is NOT a music video, this is the song embedded in the film in an act shift in the plot. It's perfect, and I ####ing love it. P.T. Anderson directing and Aimee Mann song writer/singer.
