I don't know if we are out of the woods yet with the "Tulo at two strikes within two pitches - drink" rule

Hmmm is Carrera a suitable fulltime RF and leadoff replacement. If so then Bautista would bring back a very good arm.

Not at all calling in to question your post, as you are just passing along info, but I can't remember Bob McCown ever breaking a Jays story before. I am going to disbelieve this one until someone more connected in Jays land backs it up. Seems ridiculous if true, Joey Bats isn't going to cancel a charity event. Worst case he would still hold it, and maybe wouldn't be able to personally attend. He's smarter than that. Toronto loves him and he wouldn't jeopardize that.

If/when Bautista is traded, Pompey will be given every shot as the full-time assuming he's healthy and no other OF is brought in via trade.

It's hard to believe that Bob McCown post. Even since AA no reporter has really had any inside scoop on the Jays.

More news:
Arden Zwelling @ArdenZwelling
Jose Bautista sends word through Blue Jays PR that his golf tournament isn't cancelled. Relax.

Is there a baseball equivalent of a shooter tutor that the Jays can put behind the plate to replace Thole?

Yeah, Jays really missed Tulo and his… ability to turn a double play?

I dont get Tulo sometimes, with the number of called third strikes he has had, youd think he'd swing defensively more. I get that he has confidence in his eye and doesnt want to swing at what should be called a ball. Honestly he has had some really bad strike calls go against him, but he has to adjust to what is happening.

That wasn't aggressive though...it was needless.

I thought as soon as it was over Jones' head it was a triple for sure. Give the Orioles credit for making a nice defensive play.
