I hope it's both, but I think it'll just be one - Coleman with retention. My guess is Tampa. Hoping for O'Reilly or Geekie and a pick.
That being said, I'm prepared for no Coleman or Kadri trades. Maybe just some depth pieces, like a Pachal or Lomberg.

Colorado was down the line with Kadri
Flames not interested in retaining or at least retaining a good chunk on Kadri
Going to be interesting to see how trade interest continues develops around Kadri
Kadri will be deeply disappointed if he is still a Calgary Flame after the deadline.
Still tons of interest on Whitecloud and Coleman
Kadri appears to be a tougher sale

I wonder if, at this point, neither player can be traded without retention. I think Dallas has moved on and made their trades (I think they should be done). I imagine Tampa is the only one left that is wiling to pay a decent price for Coleman but they have so little cap space that they need retention. And I think no team (no matter how much they want him) will take Kadri without retention. And I don’t expect the flames to really get much “extra” in a trade for retention. At this point, I think retention is just needed for these trades to happen.

Yeah Kadri being "deeply disappointed" is exactly why we need to trade him. Even if it less value than we want.
I don't want that negativity hanging around the team like with Markstrom.

If Kadri will be “deeply disappointed” to not be traded by the deadline, his best chance to avoid that disappointment is to tell the Flames that he will waive his NTC to go anywhere.

Yeah I'm excited for the day Kadri is gone. Sooner the better.

Yep this might very well be the case. Flames want good value for retention. Other teams expect retention thrown in just to make it work.

The kadri contract is really not that difficult.
The receiving team would have to send back a UFA.
Cap goes up next year.
Kadri buyout is 2 years at 1.75M in the final year.
Its all really pretty team friendly. Other GMS are just crying poor to get the price down.

He also gave a "very low" chance Weegar was traded.

It’s actually $ 2.33M for each of 2 years.

Yeah, sure.
…they freaking should though.
Look at what Colorado gave up to NYI last year when they wanted Kadri. Now? Complications, reduced value.
Players that don’t fit our age range -> best time to trade them was yesterday. Next best time to trade them? Now.

Exactly. Wants his cake and eat it too. Two teams he wouldn’t waive for had good offers on the table

I do wonder if they are playing chicken with Kadri in hopes he waives for a team that has a better offer on his no trade list.

If this is true Kadri should really think about his options. If he spends the next 3 seasons at the end of pitchforks in the hands of 18,000 paying patrons I’ll bet that version of him will try to come back and boot stomp the version of him that tried to force his way to a place like Montreal. The Flames clearly know this and will wait until the end to see who will blink. Let it not be Calgary.

Wouldn't it be interesting if the Flames shocked everyone tmrw and used some of their new assets plus ones they already had to land Robert Thomas? Now that would shock everyone! Hmmm
