Tough game, but a tough season overall. Might not be the worst thing for this team. There's some serious holes on the Colts that have not been dealt with.

Good luck to all the playoff teams (except the ones I don't like).
How does it feel to be an average fan? No imagine going through this since 2001 like my team. Dissapointment after dissapointment each year.

Wow, that Atlanta/Tampa game was fun to watch!

Those 2 QBs are the future of the NFC!

Cable wins best HC in the division by default with Haley, Norv and mini-Bellicheat

Hard to argue against Haley as best in the division. I'm not sold on him as a HC but his supporting staff is pretty elite which is likely the big reason for the Chiefs revival. Cable IMO still isn't a good coach and Turner and McDaniels are not any better.

Well I am used to it in the NHL so I know how you feel (Oilers). But yeah it does feel strange in the NFL. Manning's rookie season we were 3-13 but things changed after that. It'll be nice to get a healthy team and hopefully pick up a few good pieces in the draft. Positive is I can watch the playoffs with no pressure at all.

Just too many injuries and lack of a running game has put too much burden on Manning. I wouldn't worry too much. They just need to get healthy and pick up a workhorse running back in the offseason via UFA, trade, or draft. They never really adequately replaced James.

We've always had the running game issue but the offense has been able to overcome it. I don't think they will pick anyone up. When Addai plays, we are effective because he is a great catcher as well. I think the biggest injury this year was to Dallas Clark. Other then Peyton, he is the most important piece on offense IMO. He makes the defenses focus on him creating room for other guys. He can pretty much beat anyone 1 on 1, is a great blocker, and does it all.

More bad news for Dallas - Dez Bryant done for the year with a broken ankle.

Sure they have been able to overcome it but sooner or later it catches up just like it has the Chargers with their slow starts. Being 30'th in running every year just isn't a recipe for a Superbowl dynasty.

1. NY Jets
2. Baltimore

6. Pittsburgh @ 3. Kansas City
5. New England @ 4. Jacksonville

NFC

Byes:

2. Chicago

6. NY Giants @ 3. Philadelphia
5. New Orleans @ 4. St. Louis

It would just be weird to see the Jaguars get in ahead of the Colts. If they can beat the Raiders at home next week they should have a chance at getting to 10-6 which will force the Colts to run the table to force a tie breaker.

wow the refs really have no idea how to call this new rule
watching it live that looked like a definite helmet-to-helmet hit on a receiver rreaching for the ball.

James Harrison will be calling the league and demanding a $75,000 fine for McClain on that play.

It was all shoulder, but nobody seems to know what the rule is on that.

Not sure how it's possible to play defense if that hit is illegal though. He can't go in much lower, what are you supposed to do when a guy falls after you've committed to hitting him in the body?

Since the league has made a rule, they don't know what the definition of the rule is or how to enforce it properly.

"Hitting a defenseless receiver" has been a penalty for years now. We just don't know what it means.

Ravens need to stop giving away first downs with dumb penalties.

This game is a lot closer than it should be.
