But it doesn't need to be so loud you can't concentrate on your shot either.

After watching the Olympics so far, and the Scotties, holy hell do I ever regret quitting...
I'm all for having loud crowds, but it gets to a point where those watching need to realize that they aren't at a hockey game, and people need to really concentrate while they throw their rock.
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it's not necessarily curling fans who are watching the games, it's the people who won the tickets in the lottery (for the most party anyways). It appears that lots of people are just using it as an excuse to go get belligerently drunk and just yell for 3 hours.

Denny Morrison was grilled a bit on him blaming everyone but himself and he set the record straight saying he takes full responsibility.

Full responsibility for what? Finishing so far back he can't even get into the camera shot?

Doan just said Own the Podium has been a success?
It may be in the case of training and management of athletes, but their performances have been a failure. Been brutal seeing how often the Canadians have a great chance at a medal and then manage to screw themselves from earning one.

That's what makes this suck. They can perform, but collectively just haven't shown up for these games. Should have more medals then we do have.
Hope that they don't cut back on the funding for the athletes though and continue to give good support for both summer and winter games.

She did really good, Just faded a bit at the end. At least Canada is guaranteed a medal with one pair remaining and Groves sitting in 2nd.

Groves has got a Silver, Bronze and 4th in these games. That is a solid performance by her!
I thought Nesbitt would have gotten a medal as well.

Silvers nice and all but once again our athletes are unable to push for that little extra in the biggest event.

I'm going to blame the fact they practice on the best ice in the world here in Calgary, then have to go skate in the slush down in Vancouver

Martin guarantees first or second in round robin with a 6-4 win over the Swiss. They are 7-0, and 7 wins was his goal from the start.
