I watched the Tales from the Underworld and thought it was pretty good. they covered Ventress returning to life and her journey to redemption where she saves a young Jedi fleeing order 66.
They also had a pretty good backstory of Cad Bane and his relationship with his former best friend who becomes a law man.
The animation was really good as well.

Broadly speaking, this should have been the premise of the sequel films. The handful of surviving younglings/jedi who escaped order 66 banding together and establishing a new Jedi Order to fight the corruption in the New Republic and the Sith influence to move towards authoritarianism.

Its legends now, but the book the Rise of Darth Vader (One of the best Star Wars books ever imho) covered this where a bunch of Jedi's young and old banded together to fight the empire, and ended up doing a lot of harm drawing the attention of the empire which was still in order 66 mode.
It was a great book with a sad ending.

I enjoyed it, though I kind of wish it was 6 individual stories, rather than 2 stories over 6 episodes.
Last week, I rewatched the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Phantom and Attack of the Clones are, frankly, dreadful. Revenge of the Sith is a step up, but even then, the dialogue leaves a lot to be desired.
It got me thinking: a lot of people I know in their early 30s genuinely love the prequels--it's their Star Wars. For me, though, the trilogy never worked. And as I remember it, 20-25 years ago, most people in my circles felt the same way.
But I guess now that I’m older (and wiser), I can at least understand why the prequels resonate with that generation.

Those people are bad and they should feel bad for being so bad.
The prequels sucked. The sequels sucked. Which sucked more? Thats not really something I'm interested in.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

That's easy, the sequels. The prequels might suck, but they don't affect how good the OT is in any way. The sequels however #### all over the legacy of the OT, and replaced the extended universe with a pile of garbage

But Palpatine somehow survived tho and Stormtroopers fly now!!

I'll say it again that the prequels had a good overarching story that led into the OG trilogy.
They failed at many things, but the basic premise of the Rise of Darth Vader was hard to screw up.
The sequels have no story, no compelling characters, no directions, nothing. There should not have been a sequel trilogy anyway - the story ends with Luke saving Vader and the Galaxy.

The first two seasons of the Mandalorian actually ended up being a much better sequel to the OG trilogy since it’s set around 5 years post ROTJ in the timeline. We even got a bit of Luke at full Jedi power during season 2, which was really fun to watch.

The prequels also benefitted from a lot of work that Filoni did with The Clone Wars.
Hemi, let's not pretending that a lot of the Legends stuff wasn't also a pile of garbage.
When you have something as vast as the Star Wars EU, of course there was going to be a lot of garbage. But the good far outweighed the bad IMO. Thrawn trilogy, Rogue Squadron series, Corellia series, Darth Bane trilogy, most of the Young Jedi Knights series. It was only The New Jedi Order series when things started to go off the rails, but even then there's a lot of solid books there. I stopped reading the EU after that series so I can't comment on anything after it
