I assume the European concept would be a totally separate league with maybe a mini tournament between winners? The gate driven revenue model has zero chance in Europe, so it will be several tiers below in quality.

This kind of stuff drives me batty.
It is about as an innocuous comment as anyone can make.
All he is saying is that he knows how good a player Weber is and would improve his hockey team....as it would any team in the league.

Tampering how? He isn't a free agent soon. Literally saying a good player is a good player and we'd take him any time. Get over it.

It's tampering. Babcock is clearly insinuating that the Leafs are going to make an offer to Weber when he's a UFA in 2026.

I am still waiting on what the plan is for Jankowski and Hathaway...
Trade Stajan? Trade Brouwer?
Or can it be as simple as sending Glass and Hamilton to the minors?!? Not sure how management doesnt see this.

The plan is injuries! Totally predictable, why last year alone we lost a bunch of centres to injury - there was Gaudreau for a bit, Brouwer for a bit, totally decimated! Jankowski will be up in no time.

Joking aside, the plan is almost surely a Stajan-to-Pittsburgh or Tampa type trade around February/March.

These may be the absolute craziest lines I've ever seen proposed on this board. You have one offensive player on each line a grinder and a 2 way player. It's essentially having 4 3rd lines. The players don't seem to match one and other's play style. Just... weird.
