Don’t expect Jay to be able to pick up on that type of stuff, cause to him, it’s on you to tack on a 500 character professional writer level explanation of what you meant so he doesn’t have to think.

And now you're taking this garbage to other threads.

Look at Nashville as a team to make a couple deals is what some people around the league are saying. One scout told me that they have had personnel at up to 8 different teams games the last few days.

Think there may have been some pipi slaps after yesterday. Not necessarily against our guys, but en masse.

Kadri is holding up the Coleman deal because of the retention spot

Friedman mentioned that he received a phone call after the Weegar leak yesterday and mentioned the caller was unhappy that it was putting public pressure on the players to waive.

My guess is the union and agents sent something out yesterday to the GMs and the media members were reprimanded a bit.

What is Tampa doing? They're first in the East and haven't made any moves yet. Last time they traded for Coleman at the deadline they won back to back Cups with Coleman being a significant part of both runs. Makes too much sense for Coleman to head back there... Or back home in Dallas provided they make cap space. I would love to see Coleman win a Cup with either team.

Do you know / think that a deal for Coleman is in place with a team or 2? Basically - Coleman for X,Y,Z if we can retain or Coleman for A&B if we can't retain - give us until 11:00 am on Friday to confirm which package to fax in?

I think sitting Kadri and Coleman would be a great negotiating tactic.

You sit them and say a deal is close. And it makes the other teams panic and call to up their offer. If no one budges then just take the best offer tomorrow.

I think its just a matter of the return...return with retention is bigger but they don't want to use the spot now because of Kadri. Coleman will be traded for an acceptable return IMO, it will just be even better with retention.

I do have a source and I DO NOT share as I just don’t want to even ask.

What I can say though is that sources are busy doing their jobs today so it is quite for a reason

I think you sit them if a team upgrades the offer to have them sit out right before the game.

It’s the night before the deadline (and all through the house?)

Sit the players. Even if nothing is imminent, these are your biggest trade chips now and anything could go down. Protect them. They’ll understand.

LA just cleared cap. Kadri possible? I know that they have been lurking.

Would they be bold enough to go after Parayko?

I do think though that if they want to try to push this year still (The pacific is trash) and want to try to make the most of the Panarin acquisition that Kadri could make sense.

I also do always have this feeling that Flames are going to trade for Samuel Helenius and then i'll be able to say "Dammit Craig that's the wrong Helenius"

As I said before I heard both LA and Carolina were sniffing around Kadri and told he won't waive for either team.

Kadri, my money is still on Detroit. Other possibilities are still Montreal and Minnesota. Detroit can pull it off without sending a cap dump back, the other two will definitely be sending cap back to make it work.

Plenty of tire kicking on Coleman but the best offers are probably not coming until tmrw. Teams are going to try and get him at the lowest cost possible right now but once the pressure amps up tmrw I expect he will go. The smart money is still TB but it wouldn't surprise me to see him go to any playoff contending team.

One of Pachal or Hanley will almost certainly go between now and the deadline, maybe even both.

I don't expect a Lomberg trade.

I think the TV media is going to get their wish this year, somebody is going to make a strong move to get better and it will set off a chain reaction tmrw. That's my prediction.

I still put both Kadri and Coleman going at 85%. I'm optimistic they both move.
As for the Avs I said before, really hard to make the money work on Kadri and didn't have the assets really to get the kind retention they wanted the Flames to do. They wanted Backlund but Backs isn't interested in Cup chasing.

I will keep digging tonight.
