With the injury to AP wonder if Ekblad becomes an option for Vegas.

Nothing has changed, except the draft picks included in any trade will be from.
Raz, like every player approaching UFA, has the ultimate say in where he wants to be. He doesn't owe it to us to sign wherever, or to keep his mouth shut as to whether he'll sign or not.
It's still June.

No, he said it. On Edmonton radio. Pike transcribed it.

Players don’t live in the ghettos lol. I doubt cost is a concern for someone making 6 plus million.
Darryl Sutter was living his best life in California.

If the current price is leading to a very limited market because of Andersson’s limited list of teams with which he’ll extend, Conroy’s play is probably just to tell teams to send him their best offers without an extension. In this way, he can almost create two markets, one smaller and based on an extension, one larger and based on no extension.

It's great that you loved it. And there is a lot to love, with many beautiful areas, fantastic weather, etc.
But there is also a reason that CAL has net negative migration now. And it is understandable that some people wouldn't be interested.

Does that imply that LA could actually be on his NTC list?

Dreger is connected to Nonis. I’ll believe he’s not playing us.
Him leaking all this stuff must be putting pressure on things.

They might live in the Pacific Palisades though and with the Flames actually having a game canceled last year during the Mom trip because of those terrible fires it might be a reason Andy wasn’t interested. At any rate, we’re just gonna have to wait and see on the return and have no choice but to respect his decisions.

Conroy should start two different markets for Andersson. First find the suitors that he will sign long term with and start the bidding on Andersson with an extension. Second find the suitors who are fine with bringing him in for one year and start the bidding on Andersson as is.
See where the two markets match up and go from there. I would think that there would be more teams on the Andersson as is market, as the Andersson with extension list is probably less than 5 teams.

I think Andy refused to extend in the immediate… with that said it’s the team that has the player that signs the extension and then trades for the negotiated return. With Andy not able to extend until the 1st this all still needs to be taken with a grain of salt… unless I’m misunderstanding the timeline for extending Andersson.

Wouldn't they just have said Ras refused to waive if that was the case? How this was reported makes no sense otherwise.

I bet Razz doesn't want to play with Doughty. They never got along on the ice and I believe ....if memory serves, some of the best chipping ever caught on t.v that has to be bleeped out was Doughty and Razz going at eachother between the benches.

I was reacting to him saying Andresson doesn't want to play in LA and has trade protection - which implies LA could actually be on the NTC list?

Homes that cost $5M in most cities, cost $10-15 in SoCal. Can they afford that? Yes. Is it still a consideration? Yes.
Like any place, when you are considering living there, the cost of real estate is part of the decision. Just because you can afford it, doesn't mean you are keen on paying it.
And on top of home prices, CAL has the highest state taxes. And the highest property taxes.
