Weird. Have to call a spade a spade because hockey fans all see it now?

The refereeing was terrible. I don’t understand how they benefited when they lost.
Must be some new oilers doublespeak.

"Well that sucks but Espn for the rest of this series for me the Canuck bias by Sportsnet is sickening"
From a clueless Oil fan...The lack of awareness should be astounding, but it's not, because they cheer for the Oilers.

Who said that, a CHED caller? It wasn’t even on ESPN, it was on TNT here.

Lot of socks and sandals on the women there, is that typical fashion in Edmonton?

It was just an Oilers fan on hf. I enjoy reading the post game thread after a loss.

It's crazy to think that the Oilers only have 12 NHL skaters (7 forwards, 5 defensemen) under contract for next season, and only $9.8 million in cap space to work with, plus Holloway and Broberg as RFA's that will want a bit of a raise.
They could send Campbell back down and get another ~$1.5 million, but they then they will need another goalie anyway.
They really went all in this season.

Polydactyly that runs in families, Hammertoes, Plantar Warts and unidentified fungal growths.... really, it's for the better.

Capfriendly has updated their site for 2024-2025 and the oilers have ~ $78 mil tied up in 14 skaters and their goalies. This leaves an estimated $10 mil to sign 9 skaters for a 23 man roster. That’s a lot of league minimum salaries needed assuming Holloway and Broberg get raises.

I think it is actually only 12 skaters.

Good thing for the Oilers that boingberg and Hollowhead have pretty much busted out and won't be getting big raises. Probably a book of McDonald gift certificates, and just one book, they have to share.

It’s because oilers are smarterer than everyone else.
What do you need all of those players for? They just sit on the bench. Seriously, if 2 lines play 7 minutes each, just get rid of one line and play the other for 14 minutes. Think that’s crazy? Mavi and pissy play 30 minutes, which leaves 16 minutes for the second line and 14 for the third.
Buyout Campbell and Skinner, and roll with Picard and the ebug.
Give pissy and Mavi whatever is left over. They love to get paid and 30 minutes a night…well they should get half of the cap since they play half of the game!

On Barn Burner today, Pinder implied that some Oiler fans slashed his tire last night.

with an average age (I calculated it for the skaters and goalies) of 29.5 this year (so hockey age of 30.5 by puck drop next year)

If there’s one thing we know about Oiler fans is that they are classy, respectful, & all around good sports.
Just ask Vegas & Coyote supporters.
