A Flames twitter guy (one of the flamesnation.ca writers) does these all the time. He found the fonts the different networks use and Photoshops new "facts" into the pictures. He always changes foxsports LA Kings ones with Drew Doughty to include facts about Doughty eating out of dumpsters

They just had a clip during the intermission that mentioned how the Oilers travel last night was "a little difficult" because they couldn't fly right into San Jose, they had to fly into Oakland.

It added a half hour to their trip. But hey, they made a whole video segment travel diary that showed the players silently getting on a bus, then a plane, then a bus, then arriving at the hotel.

Even when the Oilers aren't completely no-good, Edmonton media keeps it fresh.

I had the misfortune of changing inputs on my tv (moving from video game to pvr) and that came on. it is hard to believe that they didn't have some old file footage of how great McDavid is, or of how great the new rink is. or even some interviews of the sharks validating how great the oilers and McDavid are.

up next game? video of eberle and lucic crooning sleepy time lullabys so that baby connor can get to sleep.

It is Edmonton is no good.

Edmonton is no good no matter what the Flames are doing.

Have you been there lately? 80% of it looks like Forest Lawn.
And that's the nice part.

Griffin Reinhart coming on strong. Oh Staples... so great. He's neck & neck with Wotherspoon for points. Next year's Dylan McIlrath is still on pace for waivers next year... but... strong.

Still a solid move by the Oink.

Just looking at that and I had to laugh, he admits that up front the Oilers don't have much of a future at all.

That blueline is pretty ugly for a team that's drafted so high every year.

Reinhart even watching the videos his skating looks painful, and for a big guy he has the mean streak of a frightened kitten. Musil is a bust, he's never going to make the NHL he just doesn't have the skill set for the modern NHL. Simpson and Osterle are ok, but nothing to get really excited about.

Yeah - every GM has a few stinker moves on their resume and this is looking like one for Chiarelli. Sometimes d-men do take longer to develop so hoping that's what's happening here but I'm not holding my breath.

There are two major league problems with Reinhart that make him as bad as he is.

He's just plain not an NHL skater, even watching him turn is painful

For a big guy he's . . . well he looks like Tarzan and Plays like Jane.

If your big and slow you'd better be like a Reggie and make players afraid to come down your side.

Instead Reinhart and his softiness invites players to challenge him on the outside.

Yeah the foot speed has always been the issue with him. And he doesn't have much of a mean streak. As a d-man if you don't have one, you'd better have the other. Otherwise what are you bringing to the party?

I feel that this article had to be written to cover the Journal's costs.

My fave? Although admitting that he has only watched the player once, the goalie was Talbot-esque.

I realize this is downright blasphemous, but it would probably help out the Flames if the Oilers beat Nashville tonight. To be clear, in no way am I rooting for an Oilers win, but it wouldn't be terrible if it should happen.

Oiler fans might try and suppress the thoughts, maybe drink some koolaid, but there has to be some worry that things have been too good to be true.

We might look back on the all-star break as the turning point for the Alberta teams.
