All so Iginla just ends up another Sundin that loses loyalty and doesn't gain a cup regardless.
Thanks for having more of a backbone Kipper.

At least Boston will visit Detroit possibly 3 times. I will get to see him one more time than I usually do.

If the return is as speculated, the two prospects and a 1st, the only thing that will make me not be physically ill will be if it's announced Iginla refused to sign an extension as part of the trade.
If that's the case, and teams would've forked over more for a signed Iginla, then I can live with this as it likely means he will want to return in the summer.
If however, an Iginla extension is announced soon and this is the best return we could get...I...just.......sigh...sadness and loss of any hope for this franchise.

I read everything on here. I doubt if you have seen any of these guys play and throwing out Caron's name to prove your point is useless. If the Flames had gotten Lucic you would complain that he only has 3 goals and we traded Iginla for him. Pick out something positive, ONCE, and I will believe you.

I am not sure what type of return people were expecting. 1st+Good Prospect+Depth young player is pretty good value for a rental.

You honestly think Crosby and Iginla are of the same value right now? Jeez about 1/3 of the people here need to go away, have a good cry and come back.
Feester sucks, but he has all of 3 GM's to deal with. What exactly do you expect to get back?

Lol, Iggy doesn't even come close to holding a candle to Crosby at this point. That comparison is beyond apples to oranges.
So let's say we held on to Iggy and he walked into UFA and we get nothing. Definitely better than at least getting a couple of prospects.
Kind of early to be passing judgment on the trade if you ask me.

I'll never forget being a sixteen year old kid at his 2nd ever NHL hockey game and hanging over the boards hoping to get an autograph. Jarome signed for every single person who was there. And he did it with his signature smile. He is a great player but a better person. I can't imagine that anyone could have a bad thing to say about him as an individual.

Iginla is not Crosby. He is an inconsistent vet that may score 30G in a full seasons while doing very little otherwise.
Love the person, but he is not the player he was 5 years ago. I'd go as far as saying that he is not an impact player any more than Glencross is. Good luck in Boston, he wasn't going to do much in Cgy any more.

Is it really so hard to understand why some people are upset? For many I'm sure this is a place to vent.

I hope the 1st we're getting back isn't conditional on Iggy signing with Boston. That'd be excellent.

Again, read the whole post genius. I said Caron has size but isn't any good anyways. I've been on here for 15 years so I'm fairly certain you haven't read everything. Comment about Iginla and the supposed trade; stop commenting about me. Absolutely ridiculous.
