Looking forward...if dallas loses today, i say they are done like dinner as far as playoffs....and particularly so if the Giants win tonight.

Still have NO and Philly on the sched and would have to win out. The other game is in Washington and is no gimme with those two clubs play.

Agreed. If the Eagles win tonight, then they probably only need to win 1 of their last 3 to clinch the division.

I fully expected San Diego to lose this game. Pretty impressive.

December in Dallas = Earth-shattering reality and failure

The cowboys remind of the 90's version of the dolphins who couldn't win in December either.

Maybe, but with two 1st round picks, one of them possibly in the top 10, and after having a high pick last year, the ability to set the peices for the next era of the organization is there.

A new GM will make the picks in the direction he wants to go..and unless you can 100% believe that the coach who went through this year, is on board, you don't use a wait and see approach, you cut your losses and move on with a new staff.

If it is Holmgren it will be unique because he did work with Mora for 2 years on his staff and may get more benefit of the doubt...but with a team with a high payroll and supposedly the talent, something has to take the fall. Coordinators? And after another year with same coach you may have to make that change anyways.

The other factor here is this division...as bad as the team has been this year, they had a chance to pull within a game of ARI a few weeks ago. ARI looks awesome then like crap. When Warner goes in a couple years ARI will look like crap more often then not. St. Loius is going nowhere fast. SF has consistency issues, but if they stick with the plan for a couple years, they could be the main rival for SEA. Point being, SEA can win this division in any given year even with the issues they seem to have, with a little help in injuries, and more leadership. The ultimate goal is to get to an elite NFC team, but step by step, the division win and playoff spot is up for grabs and the talent is there...again, what is lacking is that leadership begins and ends with the QB.

Until Hasslebeck either leaves, or, more likely, gets some competition at the position to light fire under his ass when he starts throwing his arms up in confusion game in and game out, the team will go nowhere. Mora doesn't seem to be getting through to some guys, and although hard to pin the blame on him, that has to be considered.

Gruden's name is popping up just because of his linkage with Holmgren in GB. As mentioned, it makes sense if you want to clean house, not so much given the QB situation with a declining veteran who needs to be handled with kid gloves, and/or a fresh, higher QB draft pick this draft.

How does that hold not get called? I hate games against the Giants. There isn't a team with more horseshoes up their asses and more missed calls against than New York.

I also have a man crush on DeSean. One of my favorite Eagles, and my favorite weapon in Madden.

So I guess Vick wasn't such a terrible pick-up.

And another brutal call. Giants homecook the clock and prevent the Eagles from kicking a FG on that fumble recovery. What an atrocious game for the officials.

Officials have cost the Eagles at least 6 points, but more likely 10.

And it begins. Andy Reid's weekly strategy to horribly abuse and mis-manage his timeouts.

Step 1 - Make a terrible challenge call.
