I really like that first shot. I never think to change my perspective like that, and it can make suck awesome, unique shots.

Forgive the number of pics. I think I've only included interesting or decent ones.
The first part is from all over China on hiking trips and other travel.

So cool you got to go to Huangshan... on my bucket list for sure. Your dad & dad-in-law chowing down reminds me of my dad & dad-in-law doing the same.

Actually, Huangshan isn't photographed there, but Huashan is. I've been to both, and although they're iconic locations to go for Chinese scenery they are the kind of places you only go to once because the crowds are so large and the experience is so touristy. Once you've been, you never want to go back.
I do a lot of hiking in China and there are innumerable places to go to that are beautiful and feel really special and personal. They're way more fun than either Huangshan or Huashan.

Ah, I see, that makes sense. Actually last time we went to China we hiked up Emeishan (near Chengdu). Never have I ever seen such throngs of humanity in my life. Insane roads, insane driving, pushing and shoving local tourists, dense fog, peaceful buddhist monks and pretty monasteries. I can echo the "I'm glad I went, but I'll never go back"
Sure wish I had the camera I have now back in 2012 when we did this trip.
Chengdu was amazing, by far my favorite city in China.

Lovely bokeh on the first shot.

Some shots I took in Italy on a couple different trips in 2014.
Venice - Was out there during the Sochi Olympics. Actually watched Canada take the gold there. Great memories!
Rome - well, the Vatican Post Office to be exact. Pretty cool stair case!
