Fawning over the Cubs pitcher is meh. Obviously a really good start but they got into the bullpen and if Febeles let’s Bo go it’s a 2-2 game.
Fisher has played great but teams seems to be figuring him out and those two runs were big.

At times looked outclassed by the Dodgers, who turned right back into pumpkins vs the Angels
At times looked dominant vs the Cubs who looked very dangerous despite coming in on a skid of their own.
Seems about right.

Great win today. Scherzer looks like a bit of a monster again.
In other interesting news, Yesavage struggled a bit today in his debut with Buffalo. 1.2 IP, 2 ER, 4 BB but also had 3 strikeouts.

Text book game if you’re scripting it even before the season starts with the new acquisitions/Vlad signing.
Divisional leaders Jays get 7 innings of 1 run ball from Scherzer, Hoffman with a 3K 9th for the save and Santander Vlad pumps a 2 run HR in a mid Aug win vs a top NL club.
