I still wonder if he’s hiding an injury.

Batted through the lineup with ease. It's been a long time since I've seen a pitching performance that bad.

1 out. 6 runs. This is rock bottom, right?

Haven't seen anything that bad in a long time. 40 pitches, 6 earned runs, only 1 out. I feel like Bowden Francis will be moved from AAA pretty quick here.

Send Manoah to the minors before he is completely ruined

Every time they say it can't get worse #6 goes out there with a ####ing excavator and digs it in even deeper.

Please tell me this is the last time we see Manoah start in the majors until he gets himself right. This is hard to watch.

Not really. We’re not as rock bottom as the Athletics.

Will we see position players pitch tonight? That could be fun.
Manoah is an extremely confident young man who bought into his own hype. Lost his hunger and focus. This adversity may be good for him, in the long term. He is talented, he’ll figure it out.

Reminds me of when Ricky Ray just plain forgot how to pitch.

I’m sure Cole is having a good laugh right now. I just wish he’ll come back a little more humble and focused on his pitching rather than all the other crap. I don’t want him to ever see him cuss out a player after striking him out again.

He needs to figure out why at not even four years post draft he’s gone from a plus plus fastball and 98 to barely being able to hit 94 much less average 93. Like why is our youngest and biggest starter who used to sit 96-97 and the ability to ramp to 98 now 92-93?

When was the last time a “large” pitcher hit high 90s
Guys like Sabathia , Colon , Wells were skinny in their early flamethrower years and became control guys later in their career as they put on weight and lost velocity
He needs to drop 25 lbs

As bad as the options are in triple A, letting Manoah get destroyed over and over again is even worse. He needs to get his head and his body in the right place.
I’d rather watch Drew Hutchison get turned into cannon fodder in the bigs and let Manoah work on his game in a lower pressure environment.

Why not? Other pitchers do that all the time. He’s a competitor, it’s pro sports. Cole is a grade A knob too and a Yankee at that, so he should be hearing it. Yea it’s a slice of humble pie for Manoah but that part of the game is fun.
