I like aggressive Milos with the serve and volley to close out that first set. In this oppressive heat/humidity, it's key to keep the points short.

That was a really smart tactical switch to apply some serious pressure to Simon, who was unable to come up with an answer. With these conditions, Milos will need to keep the net approaches to a minimum to avoid draining himself out. Picking and choosing his spots like this is crucial.

Giorgi's neckline is a little low.

Milos deserves full marks for that break of serve. He didn't give in and kept hitting some fantastic slices before waiting for the time to strike with an approach shot more than once. Really encouraging play to see.

Credit to Simon for that court coverage, he's running like a mad man out there.

It's too bad for Milo's because if he wins today he will play the Stanimal in Rd.3

Yet Cornet got a code violation for removing her shirt on court (still had a sports bra on so we saw nothing),

Milos with back-to-back aces to win set 2 6-4. Needs a good start to set 3 to drain the energy from Simon and quell any hope of forcing a fourth set.

I don't think Stan's fitness is up to speed yet. He will be beatable, especially given the way Raonic is playing and the hot conditions.

Medvedev takes out Tsitsipas in four sets - That's a pretty tough second round match for the #15 seed from Greece as Medvedev is playing some fine tennis this summer.

"If Simon wins one set, he wins this match" - what a ridiculous statement for the announcer to make considering Simon is being completely outclassed.

What a bush league move by Simon hammering the ball into the stands like that....huge break by Milos.

I think the heat combined with the fact that he knows he's going to lose is finally getting to him.

Jimmy Arias: 'I don't know why Shapovalov would change his serve three weeks prior to the US Open"
Hey Jimmy, maybe it was because it was garbage and he was double-faulting like crazy.

I think the heat is getting to Jimmy's brain too.

Well done, Milos. I liked his net game today and thought he mixed things up well.
