Gah, this whole thing is just crazy. It's like Topsy Turvy World. We have adults pretending that "oh yeah, well whatever I say is true until you prove it isn't!" is an acceptable response for the guy who is going to be the President.

I mean come on people, you know it doesn't work that way.

A couple things:

- Trump's go to line about the Supreme Court is "We want justices like (the murdered) Scalia". Would anyone like to guess which Supreme Court justice broke the deadlock to rule flag burning constitutional?

- I suspect threatening to strip citizenship will become a regular Trump threat.

- Flag burning? Flag burning?!?!?! Is it putting out a press release on bra burning tomorrow? President Pence though is gonna have an amazingly easy time doing whatever he wants as the unhinged one keeps going with massive distractions to keep the attention on him.

I think you are confused. To obtain a driver authorization card you have to provide two pieces of identification, including proof of residency. This ID includes:

OR one of the following documents:
  • U.S. Military Identification Card
  • U.S. Military Dependent Identification Card
  • DD Form 214 – "Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty"
  • U.S. Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood
OR two of the following documents:
  • A driver’s license or identification card issued by another state, the District of Columbia, or any territory of the United States
  • A driver authorization card issued by another state, the District of Columbia, or any other territory of the United States
  • A passport issued by a foreign government
  • A birth certificate issued by a foreign government
  • A consular identification card
  • Any document issued by a foreign government that the Department determines is substantially similar to a consular identification card
To register to vote you need to provide proof of citizenship. You may register to vote while obtaining your DAC, but it requires proof of citizenship. The states that do provide DACs identify that the DAC cannot be used as proof of identify for voting purposes (each of the revised statutes are linked on the page).

The odds of anyone going through all the trouble to apply for a DAC, and then use it to vote are astronomically small. The states have controls in place that prevent this. There is too much risk involved, especially when it is felony crime, and is usually a multi-count felony crime as you'd be hit with document fraud charges as well. That's a lot of risk for someone to take just to cast a vote. Based on experiences with the illegals community, they don't really care about the democratic process. They are here to make money and send it home to their families.

Just for clarity here, the state that figures to issue the most DACs in 2016 (Nevada) placed that number at 60,000. Not an insignificant number, but gives you the scope of the matter.

Wait, what? If the city government knows exactly who the undocumented are, then why can't they just go in and round them undocumented up? If they knew who they were, they would deport them, plain and simple. City government (the police) know where pockets of illegals are most likely to be, but they don't know who the undocumented are. It isn't like we all have RFID tags in us and they can quickly scan to see if we're documented or not. Or are we RFID tagged???!!!

Coming soon to Donald Trump's twitter. "We know where the illegals are because they don't have the RFID tag like the rest of the sheeple."

Seriously, illegals stay within their own community because that is where the support systems for them are. They don't use social services or medical services provided by the state as that is a quick ticket to being deported. The illegals rely on the people of their community who are sympathetic to their situation. Very few of these people are taking the chance of exposure.

One comment on the Trump voter fraud complaints. If there was indeed large scale voter fraud, then he should be supporting a recount, and in every state. You can't cry about losing the popular vote, and claim fraud, while demanding the electoral college vote is accurate. Especially considering the close results in those states that swung the EC. So far the only charges for voter fraud in this election have been (75%) on Trump supporters. He should stay away from this issue and just let the process play out, or really get behind it and demand a full recount for the sake of the legitimacy of our democratic process.

Many cities choose not to allocate their resources to 'rounding up the illegals' and have actively opposed Trump on doing so (I think they are called ?amnesty cities?)...basically saying that if Trump wants them dealt with a Federal agency will have to do it.

Ours was one of those who refused to work with the County in doing illegals sweeps. That actually wasn't the point though, it was the statement that municipalities know who the illegals and undocumented are. This is not true. If they did, they could easily be rounded up. The reason municipalities don't want to gen involved is the cost of doing so is ridiculous. If the Feds pay for it, then maybe you'll see more cities participate, but when the cost is on the municipality and they end up losing revenues (taxes are still collected on purchases these illegals make for example) it is a non-starter.

Trump's tweet this morning saying burning the flag should result in jail time or loss of citizenship is timed pretty well to grab the news for today. EDIT: Lol, Trump is hiring Tom DeLay's lawyer as White House counsel. You don't hire someone with lifetime career in swamp care and maintenance if you intend to drain the swamp.

Pretty long look at various Trump projects around the world.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/26/us...-business.html

Wouldn't it be pretty likely that terrorists would start targeting Trump properties around the world? That'd be pretty symbolic.

Trump picks Elaine Chao as his Transportation secretary. She was labour secretary from 2001-9. She will be responsible for advocating and securing infrastructure spending bills through the houses.

Luckily she's married to Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell so that likely won't be a huge issue.

Drain the swamp indeed.

Trump's need for validation thank you tour starts.. Thursday in Cincinnati!

Now, the president-elect is set to return to the heart of a state that helped deliver him his unexpected victory earlier this month. On Thursday evening, Trump will kick off a “thank you” tour in Ohio, with a massive rally at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, according to a source familiar with the planning.

Trump has said he wants to get back to the trail and revisit the states he won, on a victory tour where he can re-energize the base of white, working class voters who put him in the White House. It's also where Trump still feels most comfortable.

That may irk the rubes he conned into voting for him but the regular conservative who did is happy with this. That's exactly what they hoped for, that his idiotic rhetoric was just to Barnum the gullible and once in power he'd go regular Republican. This is literally best case scenario for most Republicans right now.

Trump taps ex-Goldman banker Mnuchin for Treasury post
