Wouldn't John Snow be the heir to the IronThrone, not Dany? I would assume that once people realize he isn't Ned Starks Bastard and is actually a Targaryan, he would take over the Iron Throne with his aunt (wife?) Daeneryus at his side.
Or did I misunderstand that relationship and the rightful heir thing?
You are correct.
In the previous episode where Gilly is reading some old texts at the Citadel, she finds out that John's dad had an annulment and remarried too; which suggests John isn't actually a bastard at all and would be heir to the throne.
The plot for the finale has purportedly leaked.
Careful, friends. Stay close, for the internet is dark and full of terrors.
And most importantly, don't be a Steve.
Agreed.
Seriously? WTF HBO? Lock your goddamned hard drives or something!
It reminds me of that story years ago, I dont remember all the specifics but I think it was the 'Toy Story' movie (?) that got deleted accidentally and the only reason it got saved was because one of the animators (?) was on Maternity Leave and had a full copy on her personal computer?
Get your #### together HBO! This is goddamned embarrassing!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I wonder if they will start changing the scripts to season 8 then.
Season 8 finale.
The remaining characters arrange to meet at a diner. Jon arrives first and watches customers come and go. Daneris arrives and Jon tells her Jaime will testify. Arya arrives and reminds her brother of her advice to "remember the good times". Sansa arrives late and parks her car outside. As the bell rings, Jon looks up.
Fade to black

I'm also sort of getting the sense that Dany (white/blonde hair) cant be burned and Jon (black hair - very non-Targearyan) apparently cant be frozen.
They're like....Fire & Ice.
I think we can already expect that Season 7's entire CGI budget is ear-marked for some kickass Dragon aerial dogfighting scenes.
I think they'll actually save the dragon v. dragon fight for next season. We still need to see how the WWs deal with the wall. We also need to get Cersei on side to fight the WWs. Showing her a single zombie is a bit ridiculous, especially as she has the Mountain zombie in her company. I think she'll need to see the army in a WTF moment to finally agree to fight the WWs. Either that or she'll agree to join the anti-WW forces merely to set up a back stab.
One thing I wonder about is if Bran has the power to disrupt the Night King's warging powers. The KG was able to disrupt his warging power over those crows. Maybe it works both ways.
The degradation in the story and plot is really depressing.
Setting up the " if you kill the Night King then you will destroy the entire army of the undead" is right out the young adult section of your local library.

Terrible.
Good grief. That was one of the most exciting hours of television of all time. I'm willing to overlook plot details.
I think you have said before that Martin was a master at subverting the fantasy genre. But, others have done it before him (Donaldson, Moorcock) or better than him (Erikson). As television entertainment, this is fantastic stuff.

Not a big fan of the connecting the walker to his Army but the Dragons offer a just as convenient way to get rid of the Army of the dead as killing the head vampire.
Also this is Maritn's story. It seems the complainers forget this when the criticize the show. He is a consultant and has heavy involvement and his book isn't done because he can't do it in a satisfying manner.
That said I think the whole reasoning behind how to get the Magnificent 7 behind the wall and kill a dragon was very contrived and I expect Martin et Al to do better.
Even just put out some McGuffin artifact that Tarly learns about in the Citadel that is key to fighting the walkers would have been better than capture a Wight and show it to Cersai.
I also think they have been to nice to us. Tormund should have died. He just told us what he was fighting for and the babies he would make. Jon's stupidity needed to cost Jon something. Dany lost her Dragon for her hubris but Jon didn't expend anything.
I really like what they are doing with Arya, I think that despite her training she has always been careless and rash. So for her to arrogantly attack her sister without caring about context fits her well.

Watching Game of Thrones is my Sunday evening tradition, reading you bitch about it is my Monday morning tradition.
Keep fighting the good fight, you're going to change the world!

People are posting spoilers randomly in the comment sections of sports and news articles. Basically they are everywhere which is why it is best to watch it ASAP.
Reminds me of when Star Wars the Force Awakens came out and within 12 hours of release people were putting spoilers everywhere and the main one caught me off guard. Lesson learned, watch things first, don't try to fight it.
But I had no idea there were leaks, even though I posted about spoilers.
