If they can sign Kadri to a reasonable deal:
Huberdeau-Lindholm-???
Mangiapane-Kadri-Toffoli
I still think they need a legitimate top 6 forward.
Maybe they can make that Lucic trade happen now

With the addition of Weegar got to wonder if this is the end for Valimaki with the Flames.
Waivers eligible, hard to see him displace anyone projected to be in the top 6. Management seems to prefer Mackey over him for the 7th d-man position.

Actually, how much sense would signing Paul Stastny make right now?
Kind of a low risk hedge against how Monahan will bounce back.
Awesome face off guy too.
Evan Rodrigues might be a good gamble for a RWer too. Huberdeau will help him score 25 goals

Any guesses what the cost would be to acquire Barzal? Would be a very big move but adding him along with Huberdeau and Weeger would not only make this team just different from last year… I believe it would make it better.
Huberdeau-Lindholm-Toffoli
Mangiapane-Barzal-Coleman
Pelletier-Backlund-Dube
Lucic-Monahan-Lewis
Great centre depth. Especially if Monahan can find his game again.
Also, Barzal is from Western Canada so he could be a player that will sign long-term. He’s 25. Shoots right. Has tons of speed.
Also, would mean Treliving would replace Johnny and Matthew with… Johnny and Mathew. Would save money on name tags during training camp.

Won't happen, but I'd love to see the Flames work a deal for Pavelski. Good player, good cap hit, good position, expiring contract, can't kill Flames if he is one...
